Cpu shot 80% below the rim help

Hi guys, I've been loving the game no matter how hard this learning curve is long...

Anyways I'm not even playing on the hardest levels but I'm struggling with the cpu... 75% of the shots were from below the rim and he made
    80% of them...

I was trying to only control my center and pf and staying below the rim to contest every shot... Doesn't work that well and takes a lot of fun of the game... Do you guys have the same issues? How do you avoid so many shot so near to the rim?

Did you notice that the cpu almost never take a mid range shot?

    Thanks in advance!

I'm starting to try the 3-2 zone... See what will happens... But too
Many shots are taken from inside by the cpu still

Re: Cpu shot 80% below the rim help

haven't really paid too much attention to exact percentages, but i get that feeling as well

seems to me, the culprit is their passing coupled with the frustrating lack of ability from your teammates to deflect said passes

my defenders consistently go full jabronie and let a pass whiz right by them to a defender directly beneath the rim or they constantly get beat by back door cuts

The CPU passing feels pretty cheesy thus far, which is frustrating. They'll have possessions were they are moving the ball great and realistically. Then there are those possessions were you lock them down and they just rocket a cross court pass through three defenders to a player standing beneath the rim.

Hard to contest CPU big men because of all those standing fouls. You can just be standing there trying to go straight up then get locked into an auto animation were send somebody shooting a hook shot to the deck. Needs to be toned down.

Every time I loose I go to shot chart to see where my bigger flaws were... And it's always the same graphics... Cpu missing mid range and threes and tons and tons of shots near the rim with 80 plus percentages...

May get really frustrating at times as far as sim go

this is what I"m experiencing...The CPU is straight up cheesing to win games. I feel like they don't even deserve to be in the game with how well i'll be doing but they cheese their way back with unrealistic passes under the paint or making ridiculous shots or getting cheap fouls. Your players keep giving the CPU bigs inside position by fronting them or being stuck in some animation.

I'm pretty sure that the better your players are the cheesier the CPU game gets. I put an Allstars team against the Knicks in domination and pozingas turned into Durant hitting fade away three's and dunking over Howard and Anthony Davis etc. I was so frustrated but adapted and barely won. It's better that way I guess than easily winning by 30. I might ruin a few controllers from squeezing it so hard to try to make my guy do something right. I kinda think that this is by design and not going to be " fixed. "

but that's unrealistic for a group of scrubs to compete with all stars. The CPU shouldn't cheat to win or compete.

I really think the game is quite realistic but this type of game the country plays is just off... Contested jumpers going in and the rest is just shots close to the rim...
I really wish that there was a way around it

Man... I'm so frustrated right now... Guess I really should play on rookie (I always played pro on sim)... I was playing GSW x DEN... Was having a nice game until the 4th quarter when the cpu started killing me from inside... No matter who guarded the centers or what strategy I used, my defenders got incredibly slower, incredibly dumb and when I saw the shot chart it was like 10-12 from below the rim on the 4th... And I couldn't make a free layup...

I only saw this kind of stuff on Fifa 14, which everybody argued that was scripted or anything like that... I never had this problem on nba2k... Anyway...
Gonna give this week a rest... Will resume playing on next Sunday on rookie

Were you playing as GSW? Scouting them in the game tells you that they are poor defenders in the paint.

Altering your gameplay sliders will solve this problem!

This is not learning curve, the game is imbalanced right now. The computer does not have realistic shot distribution at all and they get to the paint too easily because defensive reaction speed is just too slow. Another issue is that your AI defenders still do dumb things and still create artificial openings for the offense, as they have in past 2K's. The pace and tempo is also too fast for a 12 minute game and the speed has felt increased recently; It doesn't feel the same as it was out of the box, which was ideal IMO.

Sliders can help, but it does not atone for the fact that the CPU is hard-coded to play this way. Sliders can fix one thing, then detract from another in the process. It needs to be adjusted/patched.

This is a common problem and is easily fixed with sliders. There is a CPU vs. CPU slider thread that accounts and fixes this. It's a combination of a number of sliders working together actually.

I noticed that most of the game was being played under the rim. It's more even now - Mid range is still sporadic but it's more even now and more team based! 86 FGA per team spread out, maybe a little low FG% but still tweaking with more games. .
