Lol How does this help with people who hang court? They are gonna fast break regardless if you have this up or not. It works well playing against a half court offense but if somebody runs the break well (keyword) defensive assist is pointless. Like LemonHeart stated earlier you might as well be the CPU if you're using Defensive Assist especially at 100%....That's pathetic. Just my 2 cents.....again.

I like how you're giving the ball handler space. It's much easier to cut off angles when you give them the jumper. BTW, that Diplomats logo, center court, is sick. Nice post.

And that's exactly the crap that be annoying me about the game now. You can play some good defense, and they somehow get to the rim on a weak animation. I swear that nonsense wasn't in the game when it first came out.

lost twice to the lakers, but managed to beat the bulls. how can this happen?!

there were few instances where westbrook just flop and russell went up for uncontested layup. thats annoying as i didnt double tap circle to flop.

What exactly is the strengths and weaknesses of setting the defensive assist strength to 100 compared to 0? Another great question is why doesn't any of the gameplay designers ever really explain this? So I have one last question. What in the world is Defensive assist strength????

mike wang, u need to try out in the game to tell the difference. as i mentioned early in my post, i preferred to set it at 30 as it shows less 'sliding' effect and less 'glue' effect. i term it glue bcos when i set it at 100, there will be moments where yor user-controlled onball defender sticking to the cpu-controlled opponent animations and i cant do anything to change it. i like to be able to control the player defending the ball as much as possible, and i used to play at 0 in 2k13, 2k14 and 2k15. this year, setting at 30 i am able to control where i want the player to be, plus "cpu" effect to be able to stick to the opponent.

i hope this explains. why didnt they explain? there are many other things they dun explain and this is just one of those i guess.

try out 100 in one full game and 0 in another full game. i am playing 30 in myleague superstar and it has been progressing well. i'm going into HOF soon.

Well, i tried this last night.

Not for me. I only play Park (and ProAm). My player felt way too sluggish when turned up to 100. I can see how some people may like that it "slows" you when you are guarding; but I don't like how it also slows your recovery.

I also tried a couple of games at 30 and still didn't like it.

Of course i already use LT with 0 defensive assist a lot, so maybe that is why it doesn't "work" for me.

is this a bot? this is weird. exact same post, twice in this thread on 2 separate days (once on oct 5th and once on oct 13th)... but by 2 different user accounts?

something fishy is going on here.

what is the point of a bot repeating posts verbatim?

                      what purpose does it serve?

are they OS sanctioned bots to make it look like more traffic on here?

if not sanctioned by OS, again, what purpose are they here for and why doesnt OS delete them? OS is so vigilant about deleting posts and banning ppl. why are these bot posts ignored if not welcomed by OS?

Even with DA on 100 I really don't get many bumping animations and can't lock down a player with a tenth of what the cpu does. Found out that the right stick defense is a good way to get blown by.

Yes, that's been my experience with it too albeit I had a weird experience on 16 that deviated from the standard results: I maxed it out on Superstar Sim and the CPU defense suddenly became so docile. I don't know if it's placebo because I never tried it again but it was the easiest AI I have faced on 16 on any difficulty.

I'm in the same boat but in 15 I was hardcore on using 100 exclusively - I'm not sure how the switch flipped but I love how the on ball defense feels in 16.

I've actually switched to 0 defensive assist....

Just feels better to be in complete control....less bailout fouls

Feels like I've had a break through on the defensive side lately....been locking up
