    Re: PLEASE Reduce Shot Makes

I agree around the paint. But everywhere else I don't mind so much. Especially for my guy. He rarely makes crazy 3s or even middie unless he's open.

Just lower the contact layup success a little for the CPU. My CPU and opposing CPU.

Same for mid range which is maybe the worst and amount of and-1s. And most importantly the amount of fouls and unnecessary animations.

Co-sign big time. I a.pm planing on making a post to the real gameplay issues I see that should be addressed and the biggest ones are

Too may made and-ones, period. But the CPU has a drastically higher success rate at this.

Also the pass completion of passing out of a potiential dunk or layup is perfect for the CPU against me. Seen behind the head to a person at the 3pt wing success too many times.

The defense on the CPU end is a major issue IMO too. The coaching playbook has told me many times that a defender was weak and to just make a hesitation move and I will lose him. And I try a quick couple of dribble moves and they don't move. Everyone is an elite defender in this game. Even 5 minute bench players.

And the scoring in the paint is in the human side. Way too easy.

            Re: PLEASE Reduce Shot Makes

I seriously can't believe the replies here guys.

            "Stop complaining you're too good"

"If you're the minority shooting 70% why would they change it"

What is so hard to understand? IT'S NOT ABOUT BEING ABLE TO DOMINATE. I was just showing I do to show people I am not complaining about the CPU being able to score or that this thread isn't a HOF is too hard complaint but that too many shots go in.

Here's another example. I just lost last game because I was on a 17-7 run and we were up by about 15 points. They take me out of the game once, I come back and we are down by 15 (I was only out maybe a half a quarter), I get us within 5. They take me out again and we are down by 20 and the score is 80 to 100 and the 3rd quarter is nearing it's end! Even the simming is super wacky. I don't mind losing games and I am not complaining I lost that game. I am just saying that the way scoring is configured currently, it is very unrealistic and immersive breaking. It also feels very dummed down. There is no point in even reading the coach's defensive tips as it is just the same thing every time. Run the break, hit all open shots and stay tight on your man. Currently, momentum and scoring wins game when scoring isn't the entire game of basketball.

I don't mind losing games at all and I obviously don't mind winning. But the scores are too high. Why are games ending at the 150 range? Why is a good performance a 65% FG percentage? I should be winning or losing because my team shot an unbelievable down town percentage of 40% (which is excellent as a team in the NBA). Or losing because the CPU shot 48% overall and we just couldn't cut it because we lost on turnovers.

Currently, the way it is, is you win or lose by a change of momentum and the other team shoots a ridiculous percentage. Or you both shoot a ridiculous percentage and it's a close game somewhere in the 130+ range. This is ridiculous.

Again, this isn't about winning or losing. Please understand what I am saying. HOF should be harder because you and your team miss more. Because your down town shooters were struggling. Or because your points in the paint struggled. Or because you turned the ball over too much giving the CPU more possessions. Or you should be winning because of these things. Currently, yes, these things have an affect, but nowhere near real basketball. It is LESS about basketball and more about who can score the most. And once your stats are up and you learn what works and what doesn't--you are back to shooting 60-70% like last year. Scoring 50 points and leading your team to victory by getting them insane momentum because you can dunk when you need to and get loads of definite baskets. There needs to be variables out of your control and out of the CPU's control such as open shots simply not going in.

This is not about IF HOF is a challenge or not and I AM NOT COMPLAINING, I am simply giving feedback as to how HOF can be a more challenging and REALISTIC experience. And don't link me Czar's post because his response is to people struggling to beat HOF. This is different. This is about adjusting the difficulty by not just handicapping teammates, but making both ends play out like a real basketball game. Forcing you to hone in on what your weaknesses are each game and adjust them accordingly. Big aren't scoring like they should in the pain? Time to go small. Your dead eyes are struggling to shoot from down town? Time to go big.

Currently, it plays out way too much like an arcade game.

The problem is everyone is always complaining that they want to hit more shots but I think patch 3 in 2K15 was a bad move. Instead of buffing our shot probabilities, they should adjust things so it is more realistic to the game of basketball. The higher in difficulty you go, the more realistic it gets in terms of scoring. Lots of shots miss on both ends and losing sometimes just happens because people can't hit their shots. Then the next game, the CPU is struggling. They had the right idea with certain players being cold going into a game.

Do you get results like this when you play on superstar sim as well if you havent tried that difficulty I would try it out it seems to push out more realistic results imo

.... yeah. Anyway, people keep telling you to try Superstar / Sim, because a developer of the game said that was the difficulty geared the most towards realism. Oh, but just like everyone else, he's wrong too, right?

                    Re: PLEASE Reduce Shot Makes

The problem is that on HoF all games turn into scoring contests. You have to outscore the CPU because regardless of defense they'll end up scoring around 120 points. This is from my experience with MyCareer.

The problem is that it's tough to defend with your teammates being complete ******s on defense. I don't mind the occasional offensive mishap, but the way they mess up on defense every single possession drives me nuts.

On top of that, CPU makes too many contested and contact shots. Furthermore, they don't play realistic to their stats at all. Regardless of how low the CPU's driving lay up is, chances are they'll make that double clutch contested and-1. I've seen players with 51 finishing multiple contested double clutch layups.

No matter how low their ratings are, they'll usually swish/shooter's roll their shot when open. I struggle to shoot 50% with corner 3 with 90 3pt rating, with my shots mostly being B+. Meanwhile, someone like Caldwell Pope with 71 3pt shot swishes 3pt like it's nothing when open. What?

Also, CPU defenders sag off of shooters way too much. And they're too hesitant to contest shots.

                    Drives me crazy.
