I've noticed this too, in online My League. Don't know if it's just placebo but now it seems other people are seeing this issue as well.
Didn't 2K notice this themselves?

Re: Nearly impossible to hit two straight 3's in a row
Real talk man. Sometimes I feel like the game is programmed to always keep it close online. It's crazy.
I've had so many close games because of consecutive shots not dropping even when wide open. I don't want to have a close game every time i play someone, i want to be rewarded for playing properly.
Played about 150 games online and most of them have been close. Very few blowouts. It don't matter if they have the Lakers or OKC. U can't really get on a roll for whatever reason. Very odd. I've had guys on the ropes and I can tell they are just ready to break. Come down and Klay clanks a 3, then they come back the other end and gets a cheesy and 1 on a pump fake under the basket to get them back in the game. I hate it with a passion man.Comment

Re: Nearly impossible to hit two straight 3's in a row
Is this a designed mechanic to discourage 3pt cheese? But what If i get a stop and Ray Allen ends up wide open AGAIN? It's not logical to pass up a wide open 3 with Ray Allen who just hit one the possession before. You see what I'm saying?
I understand ball movement and mixing up your shots. I do it all game. But if i get open again i shouldn't have to pass up a 3 for a different type of shot. It doesn't make basketball sense.
It's tough to pass up wide-open shots... Especially with great shooters like Ray Allen.
Agreed - I just notice that I have better success when I put up different shots coming from different players, that's all I was saying.
If I hit a 3-pointer... I might try to drive & dish on the next trip (or post up a big man).. to mix things up a bit.
Missing consecutive 3's has never really been an issue for me (personally).... because I don't take that many 3's per game anyway.
In MyCareer mode, I probably attempt roughly 5 per game. (i.e. Only 2 attempts per Quarter, or less)
Because I take mostly 'midrange' shots.Last edited by Roger_Black; 10-12-2015, 04:30 PM.Comment

Re: Nearly impossible to hit two straight 3's in a row
Played online about 50 games. You don't make two threes in a row online unless you are losing by a lot or just haven't scored in a while. Some players who make one three but try to shoot another one will miss but then get an and one on the same play. So that's basically two threes. Again this only happens when down. The comebacks are way too easy and planned. My issue is when playing users who KNOW you won't make two threes in a row, they will shoot as many as they can ad every now and then get that offensive rebound animation where their player comes in flying from a missed three to give them an extra possession smh. Eventually their threes will start falling, but since I didn't miss as many threes mine will not fall when I need them. Just doesn't make sense sometimesComment

Re: Nearly impossible to hit two straight 3's in a row
Yeah but were they back to back is the question? I've had games where i went 3-3 from 3pt range with players.
Its not the shooting itself thats bugging me. It's the CONSECUTIVE 3pt shot looks.Lineup:

IDK, I've hit consecutive 3-pointers with Lowry(ran a play) as well with Bruno Caboclo(on 2 fast breaks) before from recet memory. HOF Default. Online MyLeagueLast edited by FiskWilson; 10-12-2015, 05:40 PM.Comment
