Re: Nearly impossible to hit two straight 3's in a row

I'm going to have to agree, was just discussing this with a friend last night. It happens all the time in Park too, we wait and swing the ball around to get a wide open shot and if the second one in a row is another completely uncontested 3 it NEVER goes in. Pretty lame if it's a built in mechanic to keep scores close...

Re: Nearly impossible to hit two straight 3's in a row

Kyle Korver (95 standing three), Ray Allen (95 standing three), and Luke Babbitt (92 standing three) have had no problems hitting two or more three pointers in a row as I've been playing MyTeam's Road to the Playoffs (All-Star difficulty) and Domination (Pro difficulty) modes.

Maybe the shot tuning is just different in Play Now Online and The Park?

Yes, I hate the way shooting is in the game personally, absolutely hate it.

Interesting. Or maybe players with a 3pt rating of 90 or above are more consistent from behind the line?

I've been playing with Dunleavy who has a 89 three and he never hits 2 in a row no matter the situation.

          Who knows.

Happens offline as well. You can do it but it's very rare.

stop complaining. shooting is already too easy in the park. People draining constant threes.

I had Mike D on my team for a while in Domination mode (Pro Difficulty) and he was another guy who didn't have any problems hitting two or more in a row.

Even though Dunleavy only has an 89 standing three, he has several hot zones behind the arc that make his shot even better than his normal rating.

I'm seeing this in Play Now Online and MyLeague Online. Both are on Superstar difficulty or higher.

I also see this in My Team with Klay Thompson. He hardly ever hits two straight 3's. I'm just wondering why its so rare.

Nearly impossible to hit two straight 3's in a row

I have definitely experienced this. I chalked it up as me just screwing up and getting too excited on the second shot.

But it got to the point that it seems way more than user error.

Especially now because I've been having people play more and more zone.

So I'll swing the ball get an open three.

Then get another open look the next possession because they haven't changed their defense.

And Ill miss every time. Pretty annoying

Almost as if 2k thinks ur not playing sim if u shoot with the same player again. Or some penalty of some sort for shooting with a player twice. But that's lame if ur taking what the defense gives you. I Play with warriors online and curry/Klay never hit 3s back to back.

Bear in mind we are saying that it's impossible to hit back to back 3s on consecutive possessions, not the player hitting a 3 then some other stuff happening and he hits a 3 again afterwards.

The reason you can't hit more than 2 in a row is because your timing is off. You need to hold the x button and the shot stick at the same time. First release the x button while still holding the shot stick down, wait a second then release the shot stick. Then watch as the sound of the ball going through the net turns on the lady in the front row. She's going home with you because she knows you are creating those sounds

Offline, I hit 8 in a row with Kobe. This was non-consecutive possessions but within the 8 in a row I did hit 2 on consecutive possessions. I hit one, the computer used Carmello Anthony to hit a 3 in response and I then hit another on an outlet pass from D. Russell on a fast break.
