Srsly, why are people expecting mycareer mode to resemble a basketball game?
it happens in all modes.
edit: Before someone says to improve my stick skills or I need to practice. I don't have a problem with it but the cpu does it maybe 3-5 times a game mostly just by bigs in the mid-range.

Reason: adding
Some players like Garnett and Bosh do this all the time IRL though.
Add Carmelo to that list. I watch every single Knicks game and Melo does this most of the time whether he's open or not.
I think adding a simple side-step/extra step pull-up tendency would eliminate the issue.

Two Reasons:
It is the most popular mode and the most popular mode of an NBA title should resemble the NBA the most
MC is the way you prepare for competitive online play; if you want people to play realistic ball competitively online then you better make the training/prep mode realistic. Expectations and habits are set early. Set them in MC and there will be less cheesing and hero ball online.
it never happened to me... maybe its because i only shoot wide open j's with Square instead of the pro stick
The problem isn't the PLAYER doing this, it's the CPU. You can shoot with your eyes closed and hands tied behind your back it won't change how the CPU shoots.
