        it happens in all modes.

edit: Before someone says to improve my stick skills or I need to practice. I don't have a problem with it but the cpu does it maybe 3-5 times a game mostly just by bigs in the mid-range.

Add Carmelo to that list. I watch every single Knicks game and Melo does this most of the time whether he's open or not.
I think adding a simple side-step/extra step pull-up tendency would eliminate the issue.

Turn lead passing off in the control setting.

                  Tendency issue probably.

Re: Extra step when wide open.

MyCareer on the Spurs, David West and Maureese Speights do this, whereas Tim Duncan and LMA do not.

So I think its a tendency thing.

*EDIT* Speights only does it when he is open on a pass, does not do it on the pick n roll/pop

Also, when you pass the ball to a wide open shooter in the corner and they step just inside the line...Been a problem for a few years now I think

it never happened to me... maybe its because i only shoot wide open j's with Square instead of the pro stick

kept happening to me as i experimented with shooting with the shot stick, thought it was a glitch, and sent a vid to Mike on twitter.

I soon realized i was relaxing my hand on the left analog a tad for some odd reason. went back to trusty square and has been smooth sailing since.

                          hopefully this helps

                            Two Reasons:
                            1. It is the most popular mode and the most popular mode of an NBA title should resemble the NBA the most
                            2. MC is the way you prepare for competitive online play; if you want people to play realistic ball competitively online then you better make the training/prep mode realistic. Expectations and habits are set early. Set them in MC and there will be less cheesing and hero ball online.

The problem isn't the PLAYER doing this, it's the CPU. You can shoot with your eyes closed and hands tied behind your back it won't change how the CPU shoots.
