I just uninstalled the game and decided to wait for a patch or two. Still suffering from stuttering issues and crashes on the PC, and from a gameplay standpoint, the near limitless fatigue for the AI and crappy transition defense is a deal breaker. I learned my lesson for next time around--not pre-ordering.

I hear you and you have made the issues clear. But at this point the devs either can or cannot fix the problems. And you as the user can choose to abuse the issue or not.

People praise 2k because for the most part when they know there's an issue they try to fix it. I believe most of us are willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.

The double issue should be easy since it's been In every 2k game except maybe one yr they didn't double if my memory's right. It's a huge part of nba so it should be in a nba game lol

Allstar sim 9 min qtrs with def awar, def help maxed. 106 with Kobe, no extra attention no doubles no digs no nothing.

Looks like u took every shot in the game with kobe......if kobe or Durant etc did that in real life they would score 100......Kobe did score 82 once and didn't even take every shot.......I agree the defense should have made adjustments when they realized u were cheesing tho

One of the things that gets under my skin is that i dont feel like im rewarded enough for my defense.

For all its faults, one thing i can say about Madden is if I KNOW what a person is going to do, and KNOW how to stop it, you can shut it down. The ways to stop it might not be sim in all scenarios, but they work. And i feel a great since of reward when im successful.

example;

im playing my brother in law in madden and he's moving the sticks all game with come-back routes. Im telling my DB's to shade outside, but this is prior to the latest patch and they're not responding correctly. I know i can stop it with bracket-coverage, but i dont want to use it early enough for him to find a counter. So towards the end of the game, he's marching down the field and needs a crucial 4th down conversion. I call a 2-man under to disguise my coverage, shade inside and hot-route my safeties to buzz zones. He falls for it hook, line and sinker. My strong safety under cuts the route and picks it off. I got such a rush from a successful strategic adjustment that it left a lasting satisfaction thats a fond memory weeks later.

Cut to NBA2k. Many times I make correct adjustments or read a play and when i get a stop its more like "FINALLY!!!". If i read a pass the the tipped ball is recovered by hyper-reactive offensive player. 50-50 balls are more like 60-40 balls. Blocks find their way back in the hand of the offense instead of starting a break and stone wall perimeter defense is pointless when a pass can be darted in the paint pass you supposedly 'denying' defender.

These are the things that grind my gears when im playing someone inferior and these lapses keep them in the game.

Yeah I was trying to see if they would really take away what I was doing. They didn't. I jus dribbled down, backed into the post and scored. I did the same thing with Shaq before that. Not a 100 but he went for 50 in 6 min qtrs

Yeah I was trying to see if they would really take away what I was doing. They didn't. I jus dribbled down, backed into the post and scored. I did the same thing with Shaq before that. Not a 100 but he went for 50 in 6 min qtrs

Hopefully ace updates make a difference once the season starts.....

Czar is the man. I've known him for a while. OG was talking to me but I guess I got a little obsessive after he wanted proof. So I showed him box scores and a vid. Haven't heard from him since.

I have been a Spurs fan for about 30 years and I only ever play with them.

I think they have the default offense wrong for them because they won't run Swing unless I manually change it from "Default" to "Swing" at the beginning of every game.

I wish I could save that change so I didn't have to do it every game....

I agree with you both. Spurs swing offense should be initiated first. I have not played with them much this year so I did not know the default issue was constant.

Yeah man there's so many glaring issues with this game. Idk how people keep denying it. Ace is a joke and it was suppose to be such a big deal. Yes they change pressure on shooters and have Kawai and Klay guard every pg but what else does it do? Where's the nba rotations that was promised. I jus don't get how people aren't more upset about these things and the things you pointed out? It's suppose to be a sim game correct?

I am disappointed with the Ace stuff as well. I don't know if it just doesn't work properly in MyCareer, but I don't really see anything different from opposing teams. They all play the pick and roll the same way by doubling me and leaving the roller wide open. Combine that with the CPU making all types of contact layups, I can score 85-90% of the time doing pick and rolls. Makes me feel guilty even using the pick and roll.

I recall reading that a double would sometimes come if a smaller player was guarding a big. Haven't seen that once yet. Last time I've seen this was on last gen. It's very cool seeing Kawhi and Klay start the game off on you, but when I first seen it, I thought it was just smart AI but it seems they are the only players that do such a thing. When I was hearing about all of this, I was thinking it would be a possibility my coach would even put me on the best player sometimes and etc.

Overall, I am disappointed with the ace stuff. Just thought I would see big differences in teams. But I am still enjoying the game. Only thing that's killing the game for me is the defensive rotations, how Mike wont adjust the CPUs ability to make contact layups and midrange shooting and I mean my teammate and opposing CPU. I mean, I don't see how anyone can't see how frequent those are. And last but not least, the amount of unnecessary fouling. I know people say HOF - SIM is supposed to be fake. But for me it feels slightly better than SS. Seems like the CPU actually miss a little more from mid and you can sometimes contest shots without it being a foul. And it's more competitive for me. But fix all that and I'll be good. Because it seems like the midrange success didn't apply to the CPU.

Yeah I feel like the Klay and Kawai thing is coded, the reason is they jus guard pg's. Play the Hawks vs Warriors and Klay guards Teague from the jump. Even worse play the Rockets and Kawai starts on Lawson. What tha?
