Game is great offline, but online is just embarrassing. If you try to play sim you will lose most of the time. I lost a my team game from a guy just sprinting down the court, and for some reason everyone is open off of an inbound pass. You also have players randomly falling down which i think might have something to do flopping. Game is great offline 10/10 best basketball sim ever, but online 2K has to do better. Spend more time on gameplay and less on forgettable storylines.

Re: i want and try to enjoy this game
Great offline? 10/10? Are u kidding me? Do u watch nba basketball? Or did u jus get the game? I was thinking that to until I had it for a week and the shiny paint started to come off revealing the true paint. If ace did as advertised I might be closer to agreeing but as of now it might be a 6 on the sim scale as far as hardcore gameplay goes, No bells and whistles to divert your attention. Jus bare bones it's a 6Game is great offline, but online is just embarrassing. If you try to play sim you will lose most of the time. Re: i want and try to enjoy this game
game plays better online then offline IMO but that's when you fine players that play without using the turbo button 100% of the time. CPU cheats the user to much to say the game is better offline.Game is great offline, but online is just embarrassing. If you try to play sim you will lose most of the time. Re: i want and try to enjoy this game
Can someone explain what Gatorade is used for in the game? Just curious. Does it apply to mycareer? Mypark? Pro am? Cant seem to find much info.
I'm curious because playing pro am and my park I'll be having the best time and then all of a sudden I'll go a whole night of not being able to make a shot. I can't dribble 2 feet without losing the ball and every shot getting blocked or missing wide open shots.
This is my first year putting any substantial time into online modes so I'm curious if the veterans have any insight. When it's good pro am is incredible but when it gets like how my whole night last night went it seriously makes me not want to even try.2016 NLL Champion Saskatchewan Rush

Re: i want and try to enjoy this game
I agree. I'm convinced after really testing today that there is a double team bug. Which could be good news bc I think it can be fixed. So now it's jus sit and waitComment

Re: i want and try to enjoy this game
I find directional passing is pretty infuriating this year, more so than usual. I try to remember to only use button passing (the rb thing) but sometimes revert to left-stick aiming and the pass button, and then often witness some ridiculous interpretation of what I had intended play out. It rarely seems to be intuitive in situations where the game has to determine which player I was aiming for. Maybe it's just me.Comment

Re: i want and try to enjoy this game
I was like that at first, but once I learned the mechanjcs, I am dominating. What actually made me a better player vs CPU offline was playing All Star Team Up online. Find a group of guys who play organized basketball (ball movement, no ball hogging and strategy) like I have, and it makes you a way better player. So much fun!Comment

Re: i want and try to enjoy this game
"Tutorial on Passing and Pass Targeting Fundamentals"? Thanks, it was really good. I had a bit of a "ahah!" moment when he talked about aiming away from guys in the post (towards an area of the court with no one there, but closest to the post player), because I'd probably have usually tried aiming at them.
Still, there are moments where it really isn't intuitive. I totally get that the game is doing the best it can with the input you give it, but perhaps such a mechanical approach (i.e. closest to left stick) isn't the best approach.
For instance, does a typical right handed gamer have consistent accuracy across the entire 360 degrees of their left thumb stick? Perhaps certain regions need to favor a particular direction than the other, even if technically the degree isn't closest to that direction.
Is this something that is very personal? Perhaps the game needs to perform some sort of machine learning that adapts itself to your style. It would need a way to receive feedback on how it is doing in real time, but there could be a clever mechanism for that. Or perhaps just collecting a whole bunch of data in QA on what the human player thought was the intuitive result despite what the raw debug data (as Da_Czar mentioned in his video) said is the best way. After all, it is humans playing this, so if there happens to be a quirk in how a typical human delivers input to a left stick that tends to create an expectation in opposition to what an algorithm being fed raw data thinks, then it's arguably good UI design to detect this and do what the human thought should happen, instead.Comment

Playing on pc. Tried a few games but its nothing pretty on PC.
I do enjoy the game but if my Center stands out of bounds one more time I might shoot him.
