6'8 SF vs 6'8 SG video comparision

so i saw a post here about how bad the SFs can be and why they rather make a SG. so i said, what if?

and i have to agree, Why make a SF?

    <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/d1MeqkBQWaU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

if you like rebounding, you are only losing like 4 points and iirc the defense isnt much different. the SG actually has more lateral quickness

Lol I think you're talking bout what I said?

But yea I mean, rebounding a lot of times is just a mixture of athleticism and positioning...you get better athleticism off a 2 and I haven't even put my rebounding up and still grab them.

This year imo they really nerfed sf's to be mediocre at everything. I'd rather be a short pf or tall sg.
I don't wanna be Jordan, I don't wanna be Bird or Isiah, I don't wanna be any of those guys.
I want to look in the mirror and say I did it my way.

The SF gets both lockdown defense badges though and is more built for front court play that is the role of the SF . The role of the SG is to be more built for the backcourt. Some ppl actually prefer the defense and rebounding of the SF. Hell that is a game changer in the pro am. Being able to switch up and guard any position and negate post as well as perimeter badges.

I thought people were saying there was no point in SGs?

What else are they supposed to have advanced ball handling ? It's just not the position for you .

i already got my 6'2 SG. thats who i always make. im just confused at how were these caps made and why the SF seem to be awful when you look at stats.

In RPG terms, that's called a reroll.

If 2K is trying to create the greatest sports RPG ever, they would be better off adopting common RPG elements that are proven to work, like character classes. Let people choose what type of SF or SG they want to be up front and let them increase stats in those particular areas.

I mean in the current NBA there's basically 2 types of sf's, in my eyes at least:

There's guys who can play the 3 or 2. These are guys like Iggy who can do a little of everything and handle the ball as well. Even run point if they have to...and defend multiple spots.

And guys who can play the 3 or 4. Basically like Josh Smith, taller and can hit a shot occasionally. Not a knockdown shooter, but good at playing defense on 3's and 4's, even some centers.

My 6'8 sg is basically what I envisioned for my sf I made and was disappointed with:
Tall, long, quick, good defender, good shooter, great athlete, and serviceable in the post and handling the ball.

I don't expect to be great at everything, but a sf should be good in multiple areas...

It seems like this year if you wanna be a good shooting forward, make a tall sg. If you wanna be an inside out threat, make a shorter stretch 4. Honestly unless they raise the speed and shooting a little I don't see the point in making a 3.

The only real advantage is the badges like you said, but I've never actually seen someone good enough in the post to make me need that badge lol

I can agree there are two types . Personally with the attribute caps:

I see SGs in roles like Joe Johnson , Klay Thompson , Vince Carter , Rip Hamilton , maybe Tracy Mcgrady .

I see SFs in roles like James Worthy , Wilkins , Julius Erving , Carmelo , Kawhi Leonard , Rudy G

From this list the SFs have the ability to bang down low better than the SG list . Most of them are probably better rebounders too. The SGs are all better shooters (minus Melo ) Also everybody on the SF list can probably guard 2-4.

                              Depends on what's your style
