Probably the same reason that I do...trying to scratch the basketball itch, but can't play it IRL for whatever reason. The day that I stop playing basketball in video games will be the day that I stop watching basketball in general.

I think that's the reason a lot of us play this game. But if all the game does is stress him out, I can't really believe that itch is being scratched. Sounds like all it's doing is blowing his blood pressure through the roof.

Play some older b-ball games that you enjoy, watch games on TV, play fantasy basketball, volunteer coach for a local youth league team ... do anything other than continue playing a game that aggravates you.

This would be a valid reason for Madden but not 2K. If you hate 2K and want to scratch your basketball itch go play the other game.

The only opinions you want to read are those praising the game? You're that capable of making your own opinions anything that challenges it is not welcome.

No, I don't care about the positive threads even. I've bought this franchise every year since 2K9 and I see for myself what's better each year and make my own opinion.

Saying "I hate this game and I'm trading it in" doesn't help anyone. There's nothing constructive to take away from a statement like that and it doesn't affect anyone in the slightless. That's why I think it's pointless.
Just the same as someone posting a thread saying; "This game is great!" doesn't add anything to anyone's experience.

I would agree this game has some very serious flaws. There is no reason why I should be dribbling the ball off my feet if someone is within three feet of my player. There is no reason someone can jump from the free throw line and block my dunk. There is no reason why I should be the only person on one side of the court during a fast break and bounce non flash dunk off the rim. This game is fun to play with my friends, but it is very frustrating with all the stuff that just shouldn't happen. If I wanted to shoot 30% on wide open shots I'd go in my backyard and shoot hoops.
