I have an 80 overall 6'3" balanced PG and his weakness is shooting but he's very quick with great handles and can attack at will

Im typically a facilitator for the team in park, unless I'm playing with trash randoms. I shoot the open three, I can create my own shot, I like driving to the rim but it seems like most of my dunks just miss all the time. And I'm scared to drive in because it always gets swatted. The thing that frustrates me the most is that it seems like I'm the only one who gets destroyed when I drive in. My guy plays like he's half his size lol.

What's your overall rating ? Part of dunk and layup success is related to your packages...

There is a sacrifice with every position this series so it really comes down to what skills you will predominately rely on game to game...

No matter who you go to the pain with: it will always be risky. If you need more scoring to balance out your drive tendencies then a balanced SG may be more reliable or a Outside PG who has more size.

Nothing wrong with balanced seems you should've just made an outside shooter. Outside includes midrange . And you can attack if the lane is open just not as good as a balanced or inside scorer

I'm personally falling in love more and more with my balanced 6'6" SG

I feel like I am the one G out there that can contend with any position. I went on a 10 game W streak on 2 v 2 with my 6'1" SG teammate and I remember him being shocked when a big out rebounded me lol I chuckled inside because he's gotten so accustom to me bailing us out with clutch rebounds.

I put in some work to utilize post moves and I also put in work to compete in the post against bigs by using my body straight up to disturb their shots. My teammate will usually come to the rescue and poke the ball loose while they try to body me up. My dude has over 80 strength and with drills plus boost I believe it exceeds 90.

I have my shooting at 14 discipline but am still a threat from any range and I plan to get jump shooting to 16. I have enough handles and IQ to also run point and drive and kick for teammates or finish in the paint. I even added the hop step to my game which is helpful in drawing contact for fouls and and 1s.

I legit feel Balanced in a superior way.

I will say however that my guy plays like a SF. Not very quick and sometimes I feel very sluggish. My toughest matchups are the little quick point gaurds who are able to zoom and dribble through your limbs without intereference lol but I'm ok with this being my one major weakness (quickness). My dude got a weight to him. Some games I feel like LeBron, other games I feel like Pippin and others I get in the zone feeling like Kobe or MJ lol its quite the enigma position

i wasnt really trying to boast my bad if it sounded that way, I was just trying to show how playing team ball is the key to success in park and pro-am and was trying to say how park could be just as difficult as pro-am depending on the competition. I played park mostly at first but i kinda agree with some people on here that its more arcadey, me and my buddies played the **** out of crew on 2k11 back in the day so once i played pro-am i havent really played park, it also seems like there arent as many ballhogs just throwing up luck chucks, granted there still are some of course, but back to my main point, i was just trying to tell the people talking **** about people talking about their park experiences that if u play team ball on park, you should correlate just fine when trying out pro-am, that being said ive been loving the pro-am only gripe is i wish they tracked your stats a little better kinda like 2k11 had your whole stat line, but thats fine they have the groundwork set to make 2k11's crew mode on roids for a update or next years game.

I don't do pro am much but bigs feast. With all the blocked dunks and clanks: bigs are able to rebound and go back up with second chances. Simulation sliders hurts shooting percentages and increases contact on drives and inside paint.

Hell ya that's why Ive been loving the new gameplay, Ive always made my guy a big since 2k11 and this years definitely got the best gameplay in terms of defense and rebounding, especially if you have a good facilitating point you could put up a lotta points on crazy good percentages on making the right cuts to the basket, my one buddies a pass first pg and my other buddie is a scoring sf so we gotta good balance going and everyone knows what job they gotta do so pro-am has been a blast when were able to run that squad.

Re: Are "balanced" scoring My Players now ineffective?

So, I backed off from my mild criticism and played 2K frequently since my last post.

I've noticed a significant increase in made shots, including mine. We're no where near 2K15 levels thank God, but my scoring has been more consistent no matter the mode. I've even had a couple of 30 point games in the Pro-Am arena mode. I noticed that scoring in the park is a LOT less difficult as well. Have there been any shooting tweaks since the thread began?

Here are the adjustments I've made. I hope this helps other balanced shooters out there.

              (1) I maxed out my jump shot to level 20. When I initially started the post, my jump shot was a level 19. My midrange went from a 79 to an 80 I believe. This year, 1 point makes a big difference in shot consistency because I immediately noticed quite a few shots falling that didn't beforehand.

              (2) I selected a jumper that's not popular but works for me. Forget the money jumpers, NBA jumpers and so forth. So far, the wide array of jumpers this year are not broken in the online modes as we've experienced in 2K15 (great job Devs!) One of the new numbered jumpers caught my eye on release day so I reverted back to that. I've had great, and consistent, success across the park and Pro-Am with it.

              (3) I obtained the Corner Specialist and Shot Creator badges. I can't stress how much these two badges upgrade your shot this year. Due to 2K changing some of the physics, I shoot a good amount of pull-up and spin jumpers unintentionally. Since getting the Shot Creator badge, these shots are falling consistently online. Corner Specialist needs no explanation. Get it!

So I don't know if badges are responsible, or server side tweaks, but my balanced player feels......BALANCED.......again lol. I would recommend keeping your balanced scorer if you've already invested VC into him.

              Hope this helps.

Good advice. Is getting shot creator the same as last year? (Spin jumpers, stepbacks, etc)

Yes, it is. 200 spin jumpers, pull-ups and/or hop jumpers (any combination)

                        200 moving shots

If you play on Rookie you can simply come down court every rip and do a pull up jumper #splash rinse and repeat on 12minute quarters

My Balanced 6'4" PG is a joke lmao. I miss easy layups and my jumpshot is trash. Me scoring 15 points is considered a great game.

What the hell were they thinking capping out your layup and midrange at a 79/80?

Mid Range for my 6'3 PG (Balanced) is 83, and 80 for 3's (standing for both). Add that 5 point boost and you shouldn't have any problems. If you're not at max shooting that is your problem (I like the boost for the park).

As far as lay ups I'm not even half way up on my inside scoring and my driving lay-ups are at 70. It honestly ''sounds like'' you just need to upgrade your MP.
