Re: Mygm and Myleague workaround question?
How do you edit players' contracts? Not seeing it in MyLeague13-Time World Champions: 1929, 1930, 1931, 1936, 1939, 1944, 1961, 1962, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1996, 2010

Re: Mygm and Myleague workaround question?
Ah I found how to edit contracts via edit player.I made up my own house rule where I add $$ to each year based on a players overall rating. I use the following method:
85+ get 10m/year added
84 9m
83 8m
82 7m
81 6m
80 5m
79 or less get their contact doubled or 4m (whichever is less).
I let the cpu sign the players that they want to resign, then I adjust them. I was considering resigning some players myself since only a handful of players resigned, but I accidentally simmed passed the last day of resignings.
Here's all of the players that were resigned - what they resigned for and what I adjusted them to:
Kevin Durant - 2 yr /44.31M - 2 yr/66.12M
Andre Drummond - 2 yr/18.28M - 2 yr/34.25M
Mike Conley - 3 yr/28.96M - 3yr/59.07M
Al Horford - 2 yr/18.53M - 2 yr/35.25M
Jamal Crawford - 1 yr/4.13M - 1 yr/8.13M
Bradley Beal - 2 yr/16.49M - 2 yr 29.25M
Jared Dudley - 2 yr/8.1M - 2 yr 16.04M
I didn't test this, so I really have no idea how it's all going to pan out. I kept track of all of my adjustments in a spreadsheet so that I can edit contracts back down if need be. I currently only have 16-17 games left in the regular season, plus the playoffs, so I'm hoping that the patch hits before I get to the offseason. If not, then I'll continue using this until it's fixed.
I'm going to try this method (man this is tedious to do for every contract tho eh). Does anyone else have a system they use? I'd like to hear what others do.13-Time World Champions: 1929, 1930, 1931, 1936, 1939, 1944, 1961, 1962, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1996, 2010

Re: Mygm and Myleague workaround question?
They're were on 7 total resignings during my season and one of the was by me, so it wasn't bad at all. I'm sure the offseason will be a lot of work though. I'm really banking on the patch being here by late November because that's when I anticipate finishing my first season. My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

Re: Mygm and Myleague workaround question?
How do you propose trades to other teams when controlling all teams? Even when I set the trade logic to "auto" for the other 29, it still prompts me to ask if all users accept the trade. Which stinks because then I dunno if the CPU woudlve accepted or notThey're were on 7 total resignings during my season and one of the was by me, so it wasn't bad at all. Re: Mygm and Myleague workaround question?
Unfortunately, I don't think that there is a way. Which sucks because I don't remember it being that way when we had "Association". I usually just try to make the trades as fair as possible to the best of my ability. I use Trade Finder to see what teams are interesting in certain players. Then I look to see what teams are in rebuilding, contending, etc. mode. I'll also post some of my trades here in the Trade Thread to get more feedback, as well.My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

Re: Mygm and Myleague workaround question?
That sucks, although rely entirely on the Trade Finder offers isn't a bad idea. Granted you can't go target specific players unfortunately. Maybe using the star rating system in the trade offer screen to only propose trades that have at least even star ratings on each side? I really want MyLeague to work because I don't want the contract issue to ruin the game for me, and I'd rather play a 29-game regular season sched with single elimination playoffs (It'd be LEGIT if they'd let you edit the season and playoff length in MyGM, but I get why they dont).Unfortunately, I don't think that there is a way. Re: Mygm and Myleague workaround question?
I am in the boat with people who add a few mill a year to each deserving guy in the Off-Season. I haven't found it too onerous, to be honest - you can sort via Overall then see the corresponding salary. For anyone who has changed teams, thke note if it's too low, jump in and fix. Took about 15 minutes to do the whole league.
The other thing that is frustrating is despite moving the CPU Re-Signing Aggressiveness slider to 55-60, they still Decline the option on highly drafted rookies. Guys like Len, Porter, McLemore, McCallum, Zeller etc. are all UFA's after Year 1, because the CPU let's them walk. It's madness. All of those guys are worth keeping on a roster at $4-5m a year, which is chump change, and they waive the right to match in future too. To get around this, I've had to manually create contract extensions before the season ends for a number of them.
If anyone from 2K is reading, please fix the above as well.Comment

Re: Mygm and Myleague workaround question?
What's the word on realistic contract demands, resigning amounts for free agents post patch in myleague offline? Has this issue been addressed on ps4 post patch. Xb1 user here, and my 30 man online league plans on using a 30 team controlled offline myleague file to conduct the offseason and I'm trying to prevent David west type situations of players accepting low ball offers and or not demanding their true market value during negotiations.
Let me know what you guys are seeing post patch. Cheers.[OS Vets NBA 2K10 Champion]

Re: Mygm and Myleague workaround question?
The PC patch was released yesterday for me. So far the contracts look great. Bradley Beal pre-patch would sign for like 7 million a year, where as now he signs for like 19 million a year. So far it is much better regarding the contracts in MyLeague. Plus players who are old or low overall will actually sign for realistic 1 million amounts. There is still some work to do with rookies or new players however. For instance, a round 2 rookie who went unsigned signs are 3 million three year contract in free agency. Pretty unrealistic. What's the word on realistic contract demands, resigning amounts for free agents post patch in myleague offline? Has this issue been addressed on ps4 post patch.
