When you target a pass at a specific receiver with the left stick, there will be a white circle underneath that player's feet to show you which player you have targeted. I use this feature as a guideline and haven't passed to anyone I didn't want to since.
There are no cheats, now granted there are rating boosts on higher diffculities and 2K doesn't play flawlessly 24/7. In one 48 minute game of 2K there are about 140-160 possessions combined for the user from both ends of the court. Play about 100-120 of those correctly and you will never lose to the AI. In my experience graphics and AI flaws happen maybe 5-8 possessions a game ? The rest is just basketball. If you want to dominate in this game you better be prepared to micro manage all 140-160 possessions; that really isn't any different from real basketball. I chalk up the 5-8 screw up possessions to refs making bad calls or players playing dumb in real life. 2k isn't perfect but is sure is pretty damn good.
