PS4 Users: How do you record gameplay?

Besides the obvious record gameplay button...which isn't exact and getting a game capture device...which is expensive.

    How do you record gameplay?

I see Xbox users recording all the time on here recording all the time and it looks nice.

Personally, when I want to capture something that just happened, I immediately hit the share button and press square to save the last 15 minutes of gameplay video

Then after the game, I open up the capture gallery (its one of the PS4's apps) and trim the last 30 or so seconds of the video to get the part I want. Export to USB, upload to a site like vidme and then you can post it here. Or if you have a youtube account you can directly upload to Youtube from the ps4

As for clips longer than the last 15 minutes, or if you want to start recording at a certain point and stop at a certain point, double press the share button (you might have to check in the share options if yours is set this way) and you'll see a recording symbol appear on screen. The PS4 is now actively recording from this point. When you want to stop the recording, press the share button again and save the video

There's an option under the share settings - you can stream directly to your youtube account.

Failing that, press and hold the share button until the record Icon comes up - the PS4 will capture 15 minutes of your footage.

I've also got a Hauppauge gaming edition PVR, not a bad choice for an external capture device.

Recording gameplay is very easy, you can select in the options 5,10, or 15 min captures. I have mine set to record on the long press of the share button.

If you have on your mic or you have a PS camera, just say Playstation record gameplay.

You can also stream to youtube which will archive it for a much longer time than twitch will. Twitch keeps your file archive for 2 weeks. I have had my Youtube streaming videos on my youtube account since the beta of 3.0.

You can also to 10sec clips to twitch.

I haven't got the bucks to pay for a high end video editor, so I just got a mid range one - Vegas Movie Studio - does the trick.
