45 here.

Can't remember exactly what edition i played first. Maybe 2K6 or so. Before last year I played strictly offline, Association Mode (or MyLeague recently).

In 2k16 I got sucked deeper into MyCarreer (although the story was bad and I hate not being able to skip the story elements and timeouts and ...) and actually started playing online. Since then I'm a regular in the Park and often play with a bunch of guys i met playing in the park. They're all in the 18 - 22 year range, so it's nice to hear that I'm not alone out there. Haha.

Re: Older 2K Gamers?
I'm old. Omni Play Basketball for the Commodore 64 was probably one of my favorites back in the day (the I think the oldest game I had was Larry Bird vs Dr. J). But Omni Play had players that aged which I thought was very cool at that time (I think you could only play 9 seasons). Still remember playing that game.Comment

38 started with 2k10 been playing every year since. I have a tradition where I take a day off on NBA2k release day to game all day on My Player Mode. I'm hoping to pass it on to my son who's only 3 lol Glad to see all the 30+ crew on here.Comment

Re: Older 2K Gamers?
This thread makes me feel like a baby lol (27). It's been a long road for me as i have been playing sports games at the young age of 9 or 10. I couldn't get all of the games i wanted, but thank god for good friends(Still have the same friend till this very day). Started playing with NBA live 99 but officially owned live 2000. From there i played both 2K and live up until 2008 where i stopped buying live every year and started exclusively picking up 2K (with the exception of NBA live 10). I don't plan on stopping anytime soon.Comment

Re: Older 2K Gamers?
I'm 40...
1st bball game was on the Atari, although I wasn't really into bball back then.
I got into bball games with TV Sports Basketball on the PC, was an awesome game at the time. Around 91-92 I think.
Played all the others like Jordan v Bird, Bulls/Blazers, NBA JAM etc....
But bball games as we know really took off with NBA Live '95.... I think that was the first time you could create yourself. It was a massive step up from previous games.
Was on and off with Live as they were up and down themselves.
Never touched a 2K game until I bought my son an xb360, saw a copy of 2K11 and bought it..... been hooked ever since. Upgraded to xb1 when I saw what 2k14 looked like.
Even played some park games in 2k14, so I have been a park player from the start.Comment

Re: Older 2K Gamers?
37yr old washed up sports gamer here. Been playing 2k since Dreamcast. My favorite 2k hoop game was College Hoops 2K7. I miss having a college hoops game so much. Only time that Illinois State University was winning titles...
