Does anyone know if this patch fixed the CPU double team in post setting being on manual at start of a game rather than auto, as per the other thread? Can someone check who has the patch for us?

So after really not liking this game pre and post patch with my PG career, I played my center career this morning and this patch has made this game worse.
If I get the ball in a half court setting, I'm instantly now double teamed regardless of what's happening. It happened on the first possession of the game and every possession after that for the whole game. I'm the center. The CPU now have more arms flailing everywhere to intercept even more passes ridiculously.
The defence is even worse than it was before the patch for team mates. I only play park and career and I'm now completely back playing 2k15 career and 2k16 park because the game plays horrendously for me now.
I play HoF sim. I'm winning these games, but it's horrible to play and superstar sim is just way too easy to hold my interest. Just interested to know what other career players have found with this patch, but the game wasn't great before the patch, but it's now much worse.

I'mYup. Not sure what's this about but it's extremely annoying. I'm trying to play the drive and kick game and I can't even do this because b4 I can kick the ball out Curry losses the ball. Pre-patched, online was riddled with guys running the same pick N roll play. And if they didn't get a good roll or pick they will run it over and over until they got the desired movement for the easy 2. And when I say people ran this play a lot I mean literally every freakin time down court. I admit, I got abused by this until I finally came up with my own defensive fix that worked consistently.
So no, I'm not going to run cheesy plays for easy 2s. I'm not going to do the same play over and over like these other users online. I like to swing the ball, work the post, and create open looks for my shooters.Last edited by MadManCometh; 11-15-2015, 07:38 AM.Comment

The full court passes need adjusting. Guys grab a rebound and swing the ball full speed ahead, regardless of the passer it gets to the teammate immediately. There needs to be more turnovers and the speed of the ball slowed down. A possible solution to this is to use the lob pass animation for full court passes instead to make it a bit more realistic looking as far passes usually float in the air for far distances. Also, the game speed appears increased which should be slowed back down a bit and user controlled players (offense/defense) while using turbo need to be slowed down a bit aswell. Because b4 the patch I felt pick N Roll was to OP in the game. If your offense was spaced properly like in the PACE offense, their was nothing the defense could do to stop it. I don't like running cheesy plays like that. Before the patch u could run pick N roll 10xs and score 8 or 9 out of time. That's to easy, to OP. There's a reason why 2k dumb down this play. Obviously it was OP as I mentioned. I run pick N fades with the warriors.

That's fair. Pick and roll defense was horrendous. Some amount of props for trying not to cheese it.
That said, the pick and roll is hugely important, and I think we should want it to be modeled accurately even if we've weaned ourselves off from it for certain reasons. Sim guys cannot just personally not care about what's core basketball. Heh.Comment

I am not liking the vids of the pick and rolls. Seems like a quick fix to not make the roll man really roll. Just get the rotations right. I didn't have no issues w/ the pick and rolls in previous 2Ks I don't believe.
Also the double teaming soon as you cross half court seems silly as well. Other than those things, I am looking forward to this patch. Especially online. Hopefully, the good outweighs the bad for me.HATE LOSING MORE THAN I LOVE WINNING!

Starting a new MyLeague, if tou set Salary Cap OFF and Hardcap ON tou can see a BUG.
You can sign player over tour hardcap limit... I setted Hardcap at 90$M and I signed players for 130M$Comment

2k, I have a quick question for you:
How many bald headed rookies(beside Adrien Payne) did we have in like the last decade?
As soon as you get to the answer of that question, you will see what I am getting at. lol
I mean I know I can edit(which I do) but give these bruh's some hair. We went from all afros to all bald heads. At least their hair is natural color this time around though. No more Sisqo's or George Hill dudes all the time.

The way 2k addressed this in the patch I do not agree with. My concern with video games devs in general is instead of a true fix, they fix it in a unnatural manner that creates another problem. Like how fixing the zig zag cheese effected realistic basic shots off the dribble.
But far as pick n roll, when the user calls a play, the game should reflect that. Not stall the roll or not roll at all like the player is dumb and forgot his responsibility. I think 2k should have addressed this by improving the defensive A.I. and soft hedge logic.Comment
