To properly gauge this matter a little bit of context could come in handy for those who bother to answer me: I am in my thirties...i pretty much only play offline or against my friends that live across the country; i do not care for ranked matches against strangers...and i most certainly DON'T care about some livin' the dream crap...i mean "Frequency Vibrations"...come on Spike (if you even wrote that stinker yourself...what you probably did not do btw) i think you smoked that "Spike Lee Joint" thing and added some funny substances to that mix; long story short: I only care about on court gameplay...online is pretty much only for downloading realistic sliders and appropriate rosters. I have not played 2K since around 2012...
I love basketball...i play with my Team (not that goofie 2k stuff; with real human beings you now...oldschool: getting on the court to have fun and have a workout) i watch alot of NBA on LP...2K is my go to thing if the weather is bad or i don't have enough buddies to play the real thing...

And back then broke physics and animation drove me CRAZY...the new physics look really nice in the developer diaries...but everybody knows these are tightly controlled (not to say staged) environments...i think physics is the final frontier for sports video games...and sometimes (looking at you Fifa on ignite engine) newer games brake physics again after they were better in previous iterations (in FIFA a lot of times the ball clips through a players opposite ankle to morph into position for a shot...intolerable in 2015 imho). I watched this video on youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXGdaaGcBVw credits go out to shakedown2012); and i dont want to play/pay for a game that has any of those things in it ever again. (EDIT: these real time impressions look promising: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJYiHHDLEu0 credit goes to regular dave)

So after (hopefully) reading this rant: Is 2k16 for me?
Best regards to those who bothered to read to this point ;-)

Still the best we have of any game out there or that has been made.

I'd never ask these guys here about games because they don't like anything

My bigs will not stand up and contest shots, they will be sucked into defender to bail out foul. There is nothing you can change to stop this, I've experimented with putting CPU rebound sliders at 1 and the CPU will still be dragged to the ball no matter what. I have a recorded play of a deflection, and two blocks in same possession cause the CPU was only player allowed to move to loose ball.

There is nothing you can do slider wise to adjust this, anyone in here can put CPU at 1 on everything, hustle, speed, ball handle, and STILL watch the CPU outplay your A.I. to the ball and on defense.

This has been the case since 2k11 and I doubt patch 4 will address anything the CPU does "manically" as that has been a 5 year ignored process.
In all fairness I'm not talking about your players on defense even though the issue you state are accurate it just some can make it manageable for them while others can't. My problem I was stating deals with the cpu defense that we play against not play with but it is a problem on both user and cpu side for me

Just to be clear "they" would not protain to me so please refrain from lumping everyone that is against this version of 2k in some stereotype just as no one should say everybody who love the game. I can disagree and even not understand your love or dislike but this a bit much.

Are there haters every year on this forum that is never satisfied? Absolutely!! Are there fan boys that always say it is the best thing ever every year? Absolutely! !

Again i have played 2k since it's inception plus been on OS for 13 years and have never had any major issues this bad to me that caused me to be against the game I love but when you are married to something for over a decade and all of a sudden "she ain't acting right " don't mean I always thought that as history speaks for it self.
Go ahead check my record . I'll wait ...

I know I'm not the one or am I ? lol But using terms like "they" ,"everyone" seems to discredit/dismiss the other side point of view whether it is pro 2k16 or against is all. No hard feelings just like a fair discussion is all [emoji6]

I won't get started on that to deeply, CPU can camp paint almost entire 24 sec duration, CPU MOST be pulled into defensive recovery no matter how insane or out of position they are.

CPU gets 100 percent auto- gravity boxout regardless of matchup..just grabs whoever and pulls them behind even if grabbed person is in front and 7 feet away from CPU. No one can be outrun in this game no matter how old they are...HAAAAAAAAAAA CPU got permanant turbo.

CPU walking bakwards is faster than us running forward on turbo.

It gets comical. My fav mode has become GM mode, I love the micro management.
