Re: Stephen Curry in NBA 2K

Harden should be the MVP because he averaged more points PER GAME and averaged the same assist as Curry? You really aren't understanding what he's doing. Like i said look at per 36 or per 100 possessions, look at true shooting percentage, or actually watch curry play and see the way he changes the game by not only scoring but just being on the floor. Harden is a ball stopper, He's a great scorer but that's it. Assist arent the end all be all to showing how someone shares the ball or gets his teammates involved. If you're telling me right now you'd take Harden last year over Curry, you're insane.

Did you watch the game last night? That's a small taste of what step has done this season. If you watched that game or even 5 of this games this season and decided to get on these boards and talk about how "limited" of a scorer he is and harden should've won the MVP and blah blah blah then im out because you're just gonna hate and there's no rational argument to be had

Yea this guy isn't versatile and I'm sorry Jordan is the GOAT but you said he has handles comparable to curry, i dont think so.

Harden should have been MVP last year because he was more valuable to his team than Curry was to his. I'd take Curry this year over Harden, no doubt. And yes I did watch the game. Yes Curry went off. Yes he hit a crazy gamewinner. That doesn't mean he isn't a limited scorer. He's an elite jumpshooter, but doesn't score many other ways.

Not looking to debate anything, but just wanted to throw these numbers out there for everyone

Curry at the rim - 170/248 for .685%
Melo at the rim - 117/217 for .539%
        Harden at the rim - 178/271 .657%
        Durant at the rim - 147/200 .735%

Curry is not a limited scorer. I mean he's leading the league in PPG. Think about what u say before u say it. Sounds silly when the guy put up 51 then turn around and put up 46.

You do know that Curry this year is shooting better INSIDE and OUTSIDE of the arc than peak Jordan? As well as better from the FT line

Jesus, what don't you guys get? I said he's an elite jumpshooter. That combined with his great off ball movement and his teams great system=30 ppg. You can drop 30 a game and be fairly limited, look at LeBron in his early years, he didn't really have a jumper, he was just able to take it to the basket all game because he was, and is still an elite finisher.

                Because he's a great shooter.

Idk about you guys, but when I watch Curry, I don't see him finish through guys or just go above them. He takes a lot of floaters, and a lot of easy layups off of his great cuts. I still think those guys are better finishers than him.

2016, layups, nearest defender 2 feet or closer:

                    http://tinyurl.com/hbp39h3

Curry is at 61% on 55 attempts. Look at the guys around him with roughly the same number of shots attempted.

                    Paul George: 42%
                    Dwight Howard: 58%
                    Monta Ellis: 54%
                    Pau Gasol: 52%

If you sort by FG%, minimum 25 attempts:

                    http://tinyurl.com/ju6nv8w

Curry's 19th, and the only players in the Top 20 with more attempts than him are Mahinmi, LeBron, DeRozan, and Jahlil Okafor. So only four other players in the NBA can match Curry on both efficiency and volume regarding contested layups.

If that doesn't convince you, nothing will.

He's a pretty crafty finisher, but he just doesn't have the athletic ability and strength of LeBron and Derozan. That's why I say he isn't an elite finisher.

So of all the players in the NBA, only four are better than Curry in this area statistically (with DeRozan, Mahinmi, and Okafor barely being better), and that makes him not elite.

                        Like I said:

                              He's just being stubborn now.

You can throw out all the facts that you want but a Jordan stan will never admit to somebody being on the level of him.

Just wait a little bit with those comparisons with Jordan, i would like also to compare him with Jordan but after all is said and done. 2 great seasons are reason to talk but for valid points just wait. I'm not predicting some bad luck or anything like that but i also remember how McGrady was great, amazing..and bamm he disappeared just like that (i'm not comparing Curry with Tracy but just wait with those comparing it sounds silly at this point).
