    Re: Fix Kawhi Leonard Please!

I love PG and Kawhi cuz watching someone get shut down is always great to me...

Kawhi kinda did just that last time they played...

I would love for this to be a rivalry tho, if the Pacers can get back to where they were a few years ago and the Spurs can stay elite with their older players.
I don't wanna be Jordan, I don't wanna be Bird or Isiah, I don't wanna be any of those guys.
I want to look in the mirror and say I did it my way.

Omfg....thank you. The man made his name chasing down guys and using his length on smaller players. A good intelligent defender, but never the lockdown guy he was painted to be.

Kawhi feels great in-game to me tho.

Yall are tripping. He is going to be there for 10 years after those washed up HOFers are gone. Any good team has good support. Jordan had better support than Rondo or Kawhi you give him asterisk?

This idea that Kawhi is succeeding because of a 'system' needs to die in a fire.

It's clear most that say that have never seen how he gets his production...

Same argument we have on a Pacers fan board that I frequent....is Kawhi a great player because of his skills, or is he a great player because of the system and talent around him? Had Indiana kept the pick, would he be the same player he is today?

Honestly, I'm in the camp who believes he's a great player due to the HOF talent around him and Popp is one hell of a coach. Granted, I don't watch a lot Spurs games, but every time I watch them play, they seem like a well oiled machine on the court.

Jordan was the GOAT at the time (arguably still is)...there's NO denying that fact. You could put a prime Jordan on the current 76ers team, and they automatically become title contenders. That was Jordan's impact to a team. Rondo and Kawhi are good players, but can they can carry a team under any system or with any players? Pippen was a damn good player....until Jordan left.

It could go either way, so no wrong answer really, no doubt they are the top 2 best 2 way players in the game right now.

Imagine if Indy had Kawhi and Paul George.

If they both could have developed at the same, then they that would have been one of heck of a duo. What most NBA fans forget is that Indiana had Danny Granger when Kawhi was drafted, but they needed a point guard. Many believe that Kawhi wouldn't be the player he is now behind Paul George and Danny Granger. It was a win-win trade at the time. Of course, no one expected Granger to be overcome by injuries so soon after the trade. In reality, Danny Granger's injury is what lead to Paul George's rise, because he was moved from SG to SF as a result.

When Jordan left, the Bulls lost a whopping 2 more games. Jordan had several seasons as a non title contender. My point is, you name a title team and most times theres multiple hall of famers and certainly multiple all stars with very very few exceptions. The only one comes to mind are the Wallace Pistons.
