No. Not the way it does in real life. I have tweaked my sliders to get a more desired exchange. But even when I beat him (not all the time but more than enough) I still get "stuck" to him which forces me to pass out or take a contested shot. It's the same with blocks; I was D Rose and I got T Thompson to bite on a fake but somehow he still managed to bump me (from the air) and stop my drive. That should be a foul or I'm gone.

Re: Spacing and Transition D Have To Be Top Priority, Right?
I feel like transition d has two main problems which are the passing and the backpedal animation. 2k quickly turns into madden with some of these passes. Honestly I think the passing needs tweaking because it seems that it doesn't take into account the speed at which either player is running and the distance the recipient is from the passer. I think it's like Junior Moe said and that the passes are still tethered to the recipient.
Players also do this weird, unnecessary backpedal animation when on transition d. This makes them run at a fraction of the speed, freeing up any offensive player around them on the break.Comment

My team give up at least 12 per game on FB in Mycareer. And there is nothing I can do about it. Most of these transition comes from miss free throws or when I dunk the dunk the ball and do that annoying *** freqing and vibing dance. While the person I'm guarding gets a Tom Brady pass and score.

My main complaint comes from player models, many skinny players with thin frame in game look like giants. Porzingis for example is very thin built but in game looks like DeMarcus Cousins and what's even worse covers whole paint area just by himself.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fLCf-URqIf0

Also, the animations that trigger inside the 3 point line really add to the clutter. I'm a huge College Hoops fan, I still have 2K8. In that game and NBA 2k8 it's easy to get inside the 3 point line and pull up for a jump shot or just spread the ball around. Now, more often than not, once I'm inside the 3 point line a "driving to the basket" animation triggers. They look great but it kills the mid range game. It's almost like the markers that trigger the animations continue to move further out. NBA2K9's mid range was about perfect to me. Cutting down on the animations in the mid range game would help open things up, too.Comment

Yuppp..it feels as soon as you cross 3pt line player goes for layup or sometimes for a dunk..that i never wanted, smhAlso, the animations that trigger inside the 3 point line really add to the clutter. Re: Spacing and Transition D Have To Be Top Priority, Right?
Draymond looks like a fat slob in the game, when he's actually pretty slim looking, everyone just seems to be too wide around the waist and a V-taper doesn't exist.
The court is just too small, I'm watching the Bulls vs Clippers right now and the two biggest guys on the floor (Pau/DeAndre) don't take up the entire paint like they do in 2k.Comment

Re: Spacing and Transition D Have To Be Top Priority, Right?
LoL @ Draymond, yeah in game he looks like he's about to compete in burger challenge. Player models scanned or not look awful and not realistic at all. I expected every player to look different where in game there are probably 2-3 body types which are given to all players like in years before. Court looks too small and too narrow, players just run into each other, 2 forwards take up whole paint area lol..it's not even funny anymorehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fLCf-URqIf0

Re: Spacing and Transition D Have To Be Top Priority, Right?
My thoughts:
The players are too big in relation to the court, as well as move faster than realistically possible. Guys should be using wingspan and vertical leap to control the lane, not the ability to run from one block to the other or because they only need two steps to get there.
Player detection boxes are too big. Ask any player development coach in the league and they will all say that no NBA ballhandler should be stopped in his tracks simply from making shoulder to shoulder contact with a defender.
Overall they just need better tech advising on the defensive side. If you see an NBA player backpedal in transition defense he's liking about to be benched and offered up at the trade deadline unless he's an absolute superstar. It's an absolute no-no and quick way to lose your spot in the rotation. Also basketball teams have the floor balanced on all shots. Every time someone shoots the ball that team has a guy leaking out toward the defensive end instead of crashing the offensive glass.Comment
