Re: Official NBA 2K16 MyPark Discussion
Anyone else notice the 21 court is on a seemingly lower difficulty? Is it due to the fact that it's 2 on 1? I notice it's much easier to green release there.

Re: Official NBA 2K16 MyPark Discussion
It basically feels more difficult as more players occupy the court - 5v5 Pro Am Team being the most challenging.

Re: Official NBA 2K16 MyPark Discussion
Speed boosting is not the same as launching off the dribble. [...]
I have no animosity towards you but the fact that you're trying to lump an exploit in with trick passes and self bounce oops tells me that you don't actually understand what allows for speed boosting.
When the game started Launches were explosive. [...]
Why is there no parity in dribbles among most players? Because no one understands situations. [...]
In reality it's the explosiveness in general that I was referencing. I touch base with Mike Wang using the term "Acceleration" but lo and behold: Park felt great Saturday (the day I tweet him with concern).
I do perform moves with the Iso stick and don't need to use size ups to get by or get a blow by. This response is not for me to be defend myself however and is more intended to be a transparent response on the general topic re acceleration out of dribble moves.
I have a link below that references some moves that were working Saturday and Thursday but not Friday. It's gameplay from March 13 where I'm wearing Portland Trailblazers Apparel.
It's 3 clips I recorded from gameplay on 2s.

What's your opinion on these takes? I'm a 6'7" PG.
The hesitation stunner badge is my favorite dribble badge - next would be the in and out. I use these two to string a lot of my moves together but the hesitation is what I like to launch out of.
The gaurds I marvel at in the Pros are all really good at launching out of the hesitation. The in and out is very underrated and felt fantastic on Saturday but so ineffective Friday.
What was happening Friday was a lot of bumping as I would get a step on the defender. The bump would slow me down before I even get the launch going which was very annoying. Saturday I felt a lot less of that stickiness and allowed me to use the moves as they are intended to be used.

Re: Official NBA 2K16 MyPark Discussion
My mypark record is 822-109.
My playstyle is really adapted to who I'm playing with - but I run with two L3s a majority of the time. A pass first point and a jump shooting 2.
In that particular setup I start with high screens, break and either dunk on an opening to swing to our 2 on the wing depending on coverage. Think I average 6.5-3.8-1.6
Dominate paint play and rebounding - mostly because I played as a 4-5 throughout high school and college.

Re: Official NBA 2K16 MyPark Discussion
ur shot % is lowered with every dribble move u make and everytime u bump in somebody etc.
if u ballhog to long at 2s/3s u will get a bad shot selection..
obviously they removed the ballhogg-effect at 1vs1vs1 and that makes sense.. <var title="adverb/adverbial"></var>Comment

I'll take fault for using such a dramatic reference as "speed boosting" - in the future I'll be more mindful.

Re: Official NBA 2K16 MyPark Discussion
All of those were normal launches. No "Speed boosting". Also good examples of getting by a defender without being cheesy IMO. Speed Boosters use the start up of Kobe Escape, and one other move, and literally explode from a standing position unnaturally. They do not "Launch", it's zero to 100 from almost a standstill.
When I originally mentioned speed boosting: I said so because a drop in acceleration hurts both the natural launch and the "booster" launch.
I was speaking from both sides, literally, as the defender against speed boosters and the natural launcher. The impression I had that day was that Mike and other devs were trying to eliminate the speed boosting - that experience was hurting me as well as a "natural" launcher.

I generally play with small ball lineups (3 gaurds) and I'm the Gaurd who will often check the big. The second player I use is a balanced SG. When my teammate and I use a big as our 3rd: we are both generally interchangeable when it comes to bringing up the ball and initiating the offense.
What affiliation do you belong to in Park?

Re: Official NBA 2K16 MyPark Discussion
Park randoms with the GOAT defense. Also that yolo bros guy was taking double contested shots all game, I missed once so he literally never gave me the ball again.

Re: Official NBA 2K16 MyPark Discussion
Maybe the 3 second violation is reset when the player is moving in the key instead of standing still? I only see it called when someone is standing completely still under the basket.Comment
