Last year grinding rep was more enjoyable because you could do it through Rec Center. We had a regular crew of people on every night and would mix up the teams, pick captains, etc etc so it was interesting and 5on5 is generally more enjoyable anyway.

They messed up by removing Rec this year imo, they should have just replaced Walk On Pro AM with it and had regular Pro AM for set teams

I agree, they expecting too much of a grind this year. 5 levels per tier is a bit lengthy. Should've just kept it at 3, especially if there was no rec. They know people want L5, and making them play 8000 games to get it is crazy. Word on the street is that they're adding Rep to Pro-AM next year. If true than it should be interesting.

There's a such thing as double dribble cheese now. Hmmm. 🤔

Seriously they need to add stamina, I'm sick of the speed boosting. It's dull, repetitive and unrealistic. Also green release should never exist after a speed boost or turbo+hesitation 3. Never seen anybody being able to hit consistently a 3 after exploding off the dribble.

I changed to the Curry Layup . I hate to do it but it is easily the best and most consistent . I don't do floaters , hopsteps, or Eurosteps anymore . No point

You can tell when you're about to face a cheeser. They have black tattoos on the side of the fave and stripes on their arms or cowboy hat.

Anyway I use Crawford layup for my outside SF. Very effective layup when you do it at the right moment. You can finish or stop the animation suck everyone In and dish out.

I remember all the cheese heads in 15 would wear either 2 watches or have the hand wraps. I think the cowboy hat is just the cherry on top.

Yeah the Crawford is good . I just good stripped too damn much . My outside G and balanced SG finish better than my inside SF. 2k really dropped the ball there

Especially when it comes to posterizing people. My 99 OVR inside SF can barely dunk on anyone, but my inside 5'7 PG literally dunks on EVERYONE.

I have the theory that posterizing animations trigger depending on your players speed. That's the reason why SFs barely do any posterizers because they dont have enough speed to trigger them as often as the PGs or SGs do.

Yes. One of the biggest things that makes me angry in this game is the defense mechanics. How 2K likes to take control of your player and put you in an animation:

Someone cutting to the paint with the ball, and your get sent in this awkward angle that makes it so you cant do anything

Having the Chase Down Artist Badge/Eraser/Post Lockdown Defender Badges and 2k makes your man jump 'away' from the person on the fast break (i.e. jumps backwards?)

2K deciding that someone took you off the dribble and making your man have cement shoes and unable to move

When your man jumps to the corner to shoot a 3, and 2K again makes your man have cement shoes and unable to close out; but, even if you do close out and have hand in his face, the shot goes in

I may have gone on a bit here, but hopefully someone agrees with some of the mentioned things here.

You need to break a certain threshold of acceleration to execute posters which is why your short PG is my effective than your Inside SF

Posterizer is overrated in this sense because you generally simply need to get a good burst of momentum as you attack the hoop and from their it's all possible. Especially if defender is standing harmless in the restricted area: he will be highly suceptible to being posterized by anyone of any height or build..

My SF is same height as max PG but he posters and he lacks the badge, he's also Outside build.. it's much more relative to your ability to burst to the rim than it is the actual badge or dunks thst you have enabled or scoring build...

Just found out all of the posters from 2k15 are still in the game. I thought they took them out. :|

I don't know how but wow.
