Re: Official NBA 2K16 MyPark Discussion
I don't use crossover 11, but I know the one you're on about That's an animation issue, not a big issue). Serious question for people; what do you think bigs should be allowed to do on the park, because everything they can do, which has been seriously watered down from last year is still too much. It seems that you just want them to fight for boards. This is a park mode where people should be able to have a bit of fun, and I've even read threads saying that bigs should even have their rebounding attributes dropped right down.
So please provide an accurate description of what you guys think would make bigs fair, and still fun to play with in this mode. Posting up is a 6ft guard swarming spamming steal nightmare, so a lot of that has been removed, and any kind of moving layup is more than a lottery.Last edited by Yesh2kdone; 07-26-2016, 09:11 AM.Comment

I think 2K should come back with individual ratings. I feel depending on your player type you choose you should be able to dribble as a big man and take some people off the dribble like a Griffin or Julius Randle, AD. But for players 7'+ you shouldn't be able to dribble better than guards. Like previously said some of their animations is better because they can create so much space. So either give them some better big man crossovers for bigs or if they keep it like this make the animations not universally the same.
I think bigs are dominant and the easiest position to play. This year they are much more needed compared to 15 from what I remember. 2K needs to just add a better post game IMO and allow big men to hold the ball above their heads like in some older 2Ks. Other than those things, I think big men are fine. Especially bigs that knows how to play.

Speaking of Shaq, 2K needs to stop acting like Shaq was Eddy Curry fat in Orlando. He was pure muscle.Comment

I don't really see what you're trying to prove lol. I said if a big man had the ratings to dribble they should be able to take people off the dribble. I guess you missed that. But most don't, all they have to do is equip a crossover and they'll move like that. It's crazy but I don't care that much.
My overall point isn't just about big men. It's about animations being the same no matter the person ratings. Big man or not, if you don't have nothing on your dribbling but can equip a animation like the crossover 11, it shouldn't be as quick as players that can actually dribble lol.
My PG actually has the ratings to be able to dunk on people lol. If he didn't, he wouldn't be able to dunk and probably wouldn't even attempt dunks. And it's also a negative to being short like that trying to dunk on people. Sometimes it gives defenders a easier time to block it. So I have 0 issues w/ a athletic 6' player being able to dunk on ppl sometimes.

This whole discussion came about because of people complaining that bigs have these mythical handles. Being able to equip a crossover doesn't give that ability. I've maxed out my playmaking on my big, but as he's an inside, he also has 99 (with the +5 boosts) for his dunking stats, so why does he get kicked out of animations by small guards breathing on him? It's because speed of approach is more important when it comes to dunking on people than dunk ratings, so as far as the game is concerned, your 6ft guard isn't at a disadvantage. I have my own PG's, balanced and outside, so I know first hand how much easier those dunking animations trigger with my little dudes.
I think you think that I'm trying to have a dig at you, when I wasn't at all. I'm just pointing out that some things are deemed as perfectly acceptable when it comes to park, whereas others just bring out the hyperbole of "handles like Kyrie".
I have no issue with you at all, I even praised some of your ideas. Just think the wires were crossed.Comment

Not trying to prove anything dude, I'm just saying that park itself is a mass of contradictions, and should be about fun. Crossover 11 is just a terrible animation that needs tweaking for 17, definitely.

Nah, I am not looking at it as a dig. I just don't see how the two compare when a PG has the dunk rating for it and some big men doesn't have the appropriate handles but can do crossover 11 and other quick crosses.
What you think is fun might be different for others. I know I don't see how it's fun for a big man to be able to dribble, shoot, rebound and etc etc as fun. That sounds like 2K11 w/ uncapped players. I wish I could rebound and do standing dunks consistently. But I can't as a PG. If I really wanted to, I would make a big man. Park should be somewhat fun but it shouldn't be very unrealistic w/ big men being able to move like that w/ no ball handling. And bigs can dunk on little people like me all day w/ standing dunks. They also get poster animations. It's only less likely to happen because most big men don't have a take off point.
And I feel my 6' PG can be at a disadvantage. I barely get dunk animations blocked w/ more taller players. But this has nothing to do w/ what I am talking about. The big men stuff isn't mythical. I was just playing w/ a big doing this one crossover killing ppl w/ nothing on his handle. So if you have a issue w/ PGs dunking that's on you and whoever want to argue about it. I am just saying, it's crazy big men or someone w/ no dribbling can do the exact cross as someone w/ their ball handling all the way up. And sometimes do it better because of their size.

Re: Official NBA 2K16 MyPark Discussion
It's not about Gaurd handles.
...It's the Inside Centers and Inside game that do most damage on me.
I'll be doing great on a streak then suddenly a random 88 Inside Center comes and drops 10+ on my head 😣 but put me against a 99 L3 Faceup C and I can hold my own

Re: Official NBA 2K16 MyPark Discussion
This is a skill thing.
A SF with max rebounding is just as competitive as a 7'3 C (park)
The speed is just so powerful for getting position.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K16 MyPark Discussion
My rebounding is pretty low, so I'm sure that plays a part. Then again, my defense isn't all that great, but I do host block parties just about every night.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K16 MyPark Discussion
Hit a 35 and 40 win streak on 3s in same night 🔥
It was on same court in same park and I was using my 6ft7 Outside SF.
Teammates in first streak were 6ft7 Outside PG and 6ft5 Outside PG/ 6ft6 Outside SG. Teammates in second streak were 6ft6 Outside SG and 6ft1 PG.
By the time we hit 40 on second streak: I was too tired to continue 😩
