    Auto-generated Draft class quality?

I'm just starting my first franchise ... Possibly looking to trade players but I was wondering if I save my draft picks to use how much quality I could expect in the draft class. Are the draft classes usually decently populated or are most players pretty crappy?

How much does the draft class slider change the quality?

I've played/simmed 11 years into MyGM with the Bucks using CPU generated draft classes every year and it really varies. I've had some Draft classes where the highest player was 70 OVR with little potential, and others where the highest player was 80's with huge potential. I think the CPU generated draft classes are pretty well done with there being busts and surprises, granted in MyGM there is no draft class quality to adjust, so I assume it runs at 50. I drafted a center in the 2nd round and 5 years later he's developed into an 86 OVR elite interior defender. I also had the first round pick in year 2023, and took a an oversized scoring PG that was 82 OVR out of the draft, I converted him into a SG and two years later(where I currently am) he's 95 OVR and best players in the league. Hes won back to back MVP's.

It's pretty evenly distributed honestly. I just wish there was a way to pick the draft class type. Like whether you want a strong, middle, below average draft class. Mainly cause I'm too lazy to do it myself

You basically can. Select "create/edit draft class" instead of "auto-generate draft class".

Then the game auto generates a class, but you can still make edits to them or see their overalls/ratings before you commit to the class. If you don't like the class, you just press "B" and not save the class. Then do it all over again.
