Violence fight. Great post. It's the same conclusions I started coming to. it's not all that intuitive but it makes sense. I think that dribbling moves and footwork has a lot to do with timing as well. If you time it right you get a boost. If you don't you get a penalty.
When I coach in real life I try to tell kids that the timing of their dribbling and footwork is just as important as going fast. It's cool to see that 2k has tried to implement that part of realism.
What kills me is why someone from 2k doesn't take the time to explain as thoroughly as you did

Yes, I get so frustrated because almost every single possession someone one on the other team is unguarded (a lot of times their best player). I will see it and try to switch to another player and run over to guard him but it's usually to late. The other day there was no defender (not my guy) guarding Carmelo 3 strait possessions, are you kidding me?

Why can't they make the cpu smarter (move the ball more, go to mismatchs and stuff) to make it harder? Instead my guys can't catch a rebound (hits off their hands to the other team a lot (any way to prevent this?)), leave guys completely open all the time, and the cheating turnovers (I will throw to my guy with a defender 2 feet to the side of him and my pass goes strait into the defenders chest; how am I supposed to avoid those turnovers?).

My choice would be to fix their horrible servers!

Broken record but, coaching system. Just everything about it needs to be re-worked.

            Shooting fouls.

They are out of hand this year. They couldn't resist canned animations so when they got rid of some on drives they added automatic defensive fouls where you can hit no contest and grab the guys neck for a flagarant 1.

The fact that we get two different games. The game on launch and the game 5 patches later.

When exploits are found they are taken care of promptly. When game problems are found, we are forced to wait weeks for a patch.

I'm pretty much happy with the gameplay. I just want more options for editing Legends.

Sock color, sock color, sock color, 2K.

                Did I mention sock color?

For the love of God, 2K, give us the option of being able to edit sock color again! That should have never been taken away in the first place! I'm tired of having to put white ankle wraps on the late 90s Bulls players when I want to put them in their regular season white shoes (as opposed to the black shoes w/ black socks they wore in the playoffs from '96 to '98).

Also, headbands and goggles. Why were they ever taken away?

And can we get the Converse Weapons back for Dr. J, Larry Bird and Magic Johnson?

The only thing I want fixed is the horrendous teammate defensive match-up AI after a missed shot.

They could literally fix everything else and I'd be fine.

PS: I haven't been coming here as much lately due to life and other games, has anyone found a fix for this yet?

I am curious as well. Almost every possession my stupid AI teammates leave someone wide open it seems. I rarely hold an opponent under 50% shooting (I usually shoot 50% as well).
