It is set to directional. Either way you adjust the settings, the game will still make you pass it to someone which you didn't intend to. Some of us sound like broken record players and provide evidence while the same guys keep saying it's fine. Maybe it's broken on a certain console and not the other? I'm on Xbox. Never seen this much complaining about directional passing on the previous games.

Sometimes I have a hard time picking a play or setting a quick play. It's like I have to go right/left/or wichever direction with the sticks like 3 times before it registers. Is it user error ?

Two clips in one vine. First one Jimmy butler is WIDE OPEN! And Drose decides to do a floaty pass that takes ages to arrive and when it does, he gathers but Parker traveled faster than a passed ball. Second clip, why does nikola jump AFTER Leonard shot? Obviously I didn't press it afterwards.

The game LOOKS great, but gameplay has taken a major step back since 2K12.

Yeah, works but not all the time. You could be in the heat of the moment, in the zone and suddenly it'll start acting up. A clip of something working proves nothing. On the other hand, a clip showing there something wrong will prove there's a fault. Out of every single 2k I've played, this is the only one with the issue, so IDK how you don't notice it when everyone else does.

Glad to read this thread. I've only played 2K16 for a fraction of how long I imagine you all have, but I was really beginning to wonder about the responsiveness of it all. More or less coming straight from last-gen, the difference in player control has felt stark and sluggish.

I get what they're probably trying to do—account for real steps and momentum—but instead I just feel like I'm stuck in mud when trying to change directions during a defensive shuffle or attempting to execute a dribble maneuver. It feels difficult to be reactionary, really.

IT seems like almost everything you do has a 1 or maybe even 1.5 second delay on it.

- dribble moves initiating one second after moving the stick
- your player catching the ball on a catch and shoot (he's wide open) but it takes two seconds for him to get set and actually shoot, by then he's covered.
- Many times in this game my player has moved in a completely different direction than what I moved the joystick to. resulting in turnovers.


And lastly, dribbling and iso motion is probably the worst it's ever been.

WHY is everything sooo slow, you can't get anything off when guys are pulling up and creating space in half speed. I need to go back and play 2K11 seriously, before shooting got completely messed up.

So glad you posted this because I mentioned this the other day and guys suggested it was my Internet, but it happens offline too.

So many times I press the pass button and it doesn't even work. I also can't seem to drag defenders over to rotate.

I haven't really seen a clip proving anything as of yet..your clip shows about as much as mine....just a few more words at the bottom. Ive posted full games on here too....close, blowouts...this in particular hasn't been an issue.

Am I'm def not the only one that's able to pass...so it's not 'everyone else' at all...

You play center in Pro Am right? Have you been noticing your guy moving out of position when going for a box out.....it's happened before but I'm seeing it even more now

What bothers me is how assisted the defense has become. Magnetic defense is everywhere and delays everything.

You play on PC 24 ?

The biggest nuisance for me is when you catch an inbound pass as a point guard in Pro Am there's always like a two or three dribble delay before the turbo dribble animation finally kicks in, even if you have the right trigger held down the entire time.

My PG usually starts out in the super slow "walking the ball up the court" animation after catching an inbound pass, which allows the other team to full court press me and have their defenders push up against my player's body to make him pick up the ball and stop his dribble in the backourt.

If the game just me go into the turbo dribble animation immediately instead of taking two or three dribbles to kick in, then I could break the full court press every time and teams would have to back off instead of being able to press the entire game without much penalty.

It's also annoying when you're trying to dribble up the court, you flick the joystick to do a dribble move, but the animation for the move comes out a second or two too late. That situation also happens a lot when you're stuck in that stupid "walk the ball up" animation.

Happened to me in a game I literally just finished. Although Butler and Pau were both standing towards the direction I intended to pass, I was aiming for Pau. Throughout years of experience, my fingers instinctively know which direction I need to point at to get the ball tho whom I wanted (Pau). This would have easily been a pass to Pau on the previous 2K's, but this year it just doesn't happen.

Directional passing is jacked up this year. I really thought it was just me having these problems lol.
