I would never spend money for vc in this game. It's pointless being that it comes out every year and none of it carries over. I enjoy the grind of being 55ovr and progressing to the top, it's what makes anything special. People think they are entitled to be good for no reason. I have 5 characters and two 88 and one being 79 and the other two low 70s. Only one of these guys has badges and I can dominate in the park just by playing the same way I see on TV. If look to replicate actual bball it's easy to be successful regardless of rating

Lol man where does this logic come from? Just because he doesn't play MyCareer he's put in such and such category smh. MyCareer was absolutely terrible this year. I like how 2k did practices and earning upgrades but the story mode was trash. Spike Lee could've been left out of it altogether. Once I hit 99 with my two players I was done with it as well. No replay value whatsoever.

i somehow cannot respect people that buy vc. to me that's like falling for one of these scam emails, in which some nigerian prince offers to transfer 8 million dollars if you just provide him with your bank details. you have to be really stupid to do so. same with vc. you buy a game for a lot of money and then they (2k) pull this really cheap trick ("buy vc and boost your player to be better than others") and so many players actually buy it. if it wouldn't be for that stupidtiy with so many players, they would have stopped this bs long ago. sadly, too many just appear to no see through this all.

                Come on.

VC is nothing like a Nigerian prince email scam and it's not even close. It's actually ridiculous to make that sort of comparison.

For some of us, $60 for a game isn't that much. And spending another $20 to make our MyCareer guy better than a 55 overall so we don't have to grind is just a drop in a very large bucket.

Personally, I don't even play online. I just want my MyCareer guy to be decent so I can do cool stuff when I'm playing the game. But if someone wants to drop $100 on multiple guys, then more power to them.

VC is fine if implemented in the correct way. Rainbow Six Siege is a good example with how they do their version of VC. They have "Renown" that you can earn by playing, and "Credits" that you have to purchase. Neither effect anything in the actual game. It's just cosmetic stuff.

2k needs to make VC for offline gameplay only, and to buy cosmetic things like some super awesome jerseys or shoes or whatever. Then you have to actually earn XP by playing online to make your online guy better. They could even make it so if you have enough XP you can purchase some of the cool stuff, but it'd obviously cost a lot.

Just separating your MyCareer and Online players would go a long way as well, but that's been talked about for years so there's really no reason to go into it.

I'd like to be able to upgrade my MyPark guy by actually playing in the park instead of having to play stupid MyCareer games and/or buying VC.

Re: Separating Skilled Points From Virtual Currency In My Career

VC as virtual currency isn't necessarily a bad thing, bad thing about it is that you can actually 'buy' and enhance your skillset. I would reserve VC primarily for apparel, shoes, haircuts, tatts and every other 'non skill/rating related' stuff.

Another thing is MyPlayer store where is just too few actual 'real' basketball items, by real i mean on those authentic shorts and all other stuff we should be having available for purchase.

Instead of these actual basketball clothing items, 2K puts ridiculously questionable choice including cowboy hats, all kinds of 'all but basketball related' pants, some no-name shorts and stuff like that. Give us more of this authentic stuff and I might be tempted to spend VC on that stuff, until then i won't give out my credit card to boost khmm my 3 pointer lol.
