Anyway, yes I have missed the playoffs before. And it royally sucks. It sucks anytime you don't win it all. I play on HOF so it's not easy.

In my 2nd season I went out in the first round of the playoffs, and now I'm trying to get back there again to win it all this year.

This years game I played all 82 games. Made playoffs and I just forced a game 7 against the Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals being down 3-1 (Im the Bulls). If I didn't make the playoffs though I'd be satisfied because the season was challenging. It makes you want to complete your off season, make your team better and come back with vengeance.

In 2k11 I played two full seasons. What kept me into it, I created my intramural team made up of all my friends. I went 75-7 the first year and won the title, winning the Finals in 6 and then I won it again the next year, winning like 69 games. Second year was tougher to get through but what kept it fresh was averaging a triple-double with my created self. Also I was unemployed at the time.

I played 33 games my rookie year on 2K15, and quit at 51 played because I couldn't hit free throws and couldn't miss 3's...Well I just downloaded 2K16 and haven't really played yet...not sure how many I'll play. What I do is play all night till I'm tired then go to work, tired. I work on a dairy farm so there's not much focus needed.

What I do is write down my stats after each game (I go beyond that and have a huge spreadsheet, full stats for each day of the week, vs each team, at home, on the road, in wins, losses etc) and sim a certain amount of games to simulate injuries. For NHL I played 354 games the last time, I played 3 min periods for each though to make it easy. NHL 17 I plan on playing over 1,000 to FINALLY finish an entire career myself. Madden is super easy, 5 minute quarters, 13 years times about 15 games is roughly 200 games, which doesn't take that long to complete. Baseball is easy as a batter. I don't understand why people just simulate the majority of their career's though. Anyways, it's a blast when you're in your 3rd+ season and finally feel like it's okay to go all out to win MVP's and such. MVP as a rookie would be silly in my opinion. Key is to make quarter/period lengths short enough you can get some games in, long enough to get realistic stats.

How are you getting realistic stats playing 5 min quarters on madden and 3 min periods on NHL? That's not that long

What quarter length are you using on nba 2k then?

Im currently 31-52 with the Braves on MLB THE SHOW 16 and i have played every game. It helps that it has the Quick Counts feature so that i can finish a game in a little over 30 minutes. With my work schedule i dont get to play everyday so that helps prevent burnout...and its obvious i wont be making the postseason. But playing will hold me over til Madden. As for completing a full 82 game season playing them all in 2k...its been a few years.

I should have clarified better, but what I mean is I'm only looking for individual realistic stats- my pro. With Madden I can get 25-30 passes in per game as a QB (also somewhat realistic stats for the whole game itself since I run plays quicker than NFL teams do), for NHL I simply turn up the shooting stats to get realistic goal numbers for both teams at the end of the game. But what I do, is shoot the puck realistically, meaning shooting if I have a good opportunity, even when I know it's really tough to score on the game from that spot. Basically I eliminate glitch goals.

Same with basketball, I don't spam the spin moves or step backs, I use as many different moves as I can. I play with 9 minutes on basketball, just cause it's so tough for me to rack up a couple triple doubles a year with any less than 9 minutes. I like being a 25-8-6 guy kinda like a LeBron James.

For Dynasty or Franchise, whichever you wanna call it, I just do one 82 game season a year. That's where I play with quarters/periods long enough in order to create realistic stats. Madden is more like 8 minutes, NHL is like 7-8 (the gameplay in all these games seems to generate offense quicker than in real life) but basketball is actually like 10-12 minutes. Baseball is the worst because I have to play all 9 innings for realistic stats, 162 games.
