Re: Using the PF in 2k16
Guess I worded it wrong lol..my guy's an inside center but I maxed out my shooting to be able to make people respect my shot. He's an Outside Power Forward. You can do these moves with any position. This is why I made this highlight reel. To show people that you can indeed be very productive in the post even though it's not an inside player. You should try some of these with your Outside Center.
I have a 6'10 outside small forward I kinda use as a power forward and I still can go into the post even with him.
Most people make taller builds but don't maximize their potential. Like all these 6'7 guards but none do what Shaun Livingston does and go take smaller guards.I don't wanna be Jordan, I don't wanna be Bird or Isiah, I don't wanna be any of those guys.
I want to look in the mirror and say I did it my way.

Re: Using the PF in 2k16
Oh okay I gotcha. Yea, my friend KayKay has a 6ft3 Pg and not to sound like I'm making stuff up or telling Fairy tales but he's comfortable with his back to the basket as well. I truly believe if anyone takes the time to work in the post and they have the right team to space that it can benefit their team.Guess I worded it wrong lol..my guy's an inside center but I maxed out my shooting to be able to make people respect my shot.

Re: Using the PF in 2k16
Isn't that a scary thing?! Most just want to shoot 3,s and dribble around. As a defensive center there is nothing more scarier than a big that know how to play inside.
It's a good thing you guys are rare lol....unfortunately since centers can shoot threes with ease there's no reason for them to learn the post game...

Re: Using the PF in 2k16
This is the type of player I want to play against since I have a defensive 7'1 C. Only played against 2 or 3 players that used their bigs for post play only. You'd probably school me but it'd be a fun time'Long time reader, first time poster'

Re: Using the PF in 2k16
Awesome stuff, RusDids29.
Can you confirm that you're an outside PF? I have a PF friend that hates that they're inside PF, did they waste their time making an inside PF if you can do all of that with outside?
As someone that made a PG for passing, I've realized that I can pass just as well with 50 passing and feel I should have made a shooter instead. I have max 80 3 point shooting and I hit em nice, but I'd love to see how much easier it would be if I had 90+Last edited by SirGaryColeman; 06-02-2016, 03:57 PM.Comment

Re: Using the PF in 2k16
I didn't read all the posts, my bad, that works for me. Thanks, man.
What do you think of the question, though? Did my friend make a mistake making an inside PF?Comment

Re: Using the PF in 2k16
Nothing you make in the game is a mistake. The only mistake is not making a player fit the playing style you like to play. I like to play inside so I made an INSIDE CENTER. Russ Made and Outside Power Forward and because he's confident with his post game he's able to Finesse Bigger and Taller players as well as smaller ones.
To be honest, it's all about playing with the right people who are willing to use you and your skill set properly. If your buddy is an Inside Power Forward then he should be setting screens, off Ball Screens, and then rolling to spots he can hit on the floor. He can also line up in the slot (thats the spot 5 feet away from the block) and just wait for a dump pass like I do and Hit that shot. That pass is always there cause most BIGS over HELP and collapse. It doesn't always have to be Dunks. As an Inside Center I can consistently hit any shot within 14 Feet of the basket no problem. But if he wanted to be more like KG or something then he should of either went Balanced or Outside and just depended on Technique to score inside. The problem with most inside players is they think cause they made an inside guy that they're just going to walk into a game and DUNK on everyone.Comment

Re: Using the PF in 2k16
Thanks, that's a good point about focusing on the screens. I think we've noticed it being a problem where he feels clogged in the paint next to an Inside C... it seems to be more Cs are inside and more PFs are outside.Nothing you make in the game is a mistake. The only mistake is not making a player fit the playing style you like to play. I like to play inside so I made an INSIDE CENTER. Re: Using the PF in 2k16
Yes, and as being an Inside Center when Russ gets it in the post I have to space properly and put myself in a situation to be useful without clogging. Usually when he gets it on his block, I go to the opposite block and a few feet away from that block and so if my defender just Sits in the paint he gets Def of 3 secs, if my Defender over commits then its a sure pass to me and bucket, and if he hugs me then Russ can work his man in the post. Just have to play off each other. It's more easier said then done, because you have other teammates who clog lanes as well. lolLast edited by Jampers2k; 06-02-2016, 09:28 PM.Comment
