Same here. I made a 6'5 230(!) SG this year just because i like to post up other guards. I have all the post move badges, but it's a shame that you can't upgrade the post play attributes more as a SG. Usually it will still get me buckets online because those speedy 5'11 PGs have no clue how to guard in the post.

Great videos, i love the post play since 2K14, really don't know why it isn't used more online.

Re: Using the PF in 2k16
When you press RT do you release LT?
I've always wanted to know how to do it consistently but most of the times I end up doing a contested shot over a defender.
What I do is:
-Ball in the post, let's say 45 degrees to the basket on the left side.
-LT and try to push the defender a litlle bit more inside, then I pull Right Stick to the left (making my defender think I'm going for a fadeaway) but then I do Right Stick to the right (still holding LT).
So sometimes it does a nice fake but most of them is just a weird high school player contested animation. Maybe it's me but I feel that the animations are so random.
Do I do it right or am I missing something?Comment

How you set up your moves are your preference. But it's the spot on the floor that dictates the favorable animations you get. If you watch the video and you see Russ doing the nice physical animations take notice to where he is on the court when hes doing it.When you press RT do you release LT?

And yes you HOLD LT, but you also have to make sure your Left stick is aiming the way you want to go, as well as making sure you are using or sometimes Not using the RT. (Go to Play NOW, Blacktop, and load up your My Player against a CPU in a 1v1 and practice all your contested post moves. If you have two controllers or a friend to throw the ball into you than that works better to in a 2v2.Last edited by Jampers2k; 06-03-2016, 02:24 PM.Comment

Re: Using the PF in 2k16
How many points in Playmaking did he put in order to make those drive & kick passes?Comment

Re: Using the PF in 2k16
Can't make those passes with 0 Playmaking. And if you do they are rare. I believe you should put 8+ into Playmaking to at least be able to do it. Anything Under that and its dumb pass city.Comment

I'm really wanna become a beast in the post again . Which is why I made a inside PF. Just hasn't happened for me this year . I can hit this 7'3 center with an up and under , faked him out and he still blocked my shot without even recovering to jump .#1 Laker fan

Re: Using the PF in 2k16
Yea, that will happen sometimes. 2k doesn't penalize hoppers enough. Don't let that distract you though. Even if they get a block you've set the tone for the rest of the game and the rest of your post game.Comment

Re: Using the PF in 2k16
Great vid love to see great post play.
I feel people don't post up that much because post play was dead on arrival for 2k16. People abandoned the post game because it was almost impossible to hold onto the ball as a big when the game first came out. It has gotten much better since then but the damage is done.Comment
