get rid of the "grouped" attribute upgrades and let us control individual attributes. I'm damn tired of having to become good at three pointers and free throws at the same time

Imagine an online mode for draft combine with drills and such and a summer league for those who don't want to grind in mycareer. Then if you want to continue to the NBA you decide to become available for the draft and the game "copies" your player with the overall and badges you earned previously and trasnfers it to the offline mode.Comment

"15)Your first 20 games YOU CANT go over an 80 overall (attempt to prevent a little bit of cheesing)"
This is why I want separation between My Career and My Player. If I want to have an ungodly straight out of high-school legend who can dominate from the start, why can't I?
The player I take online and the one I use for a single player experience should not have to be tied together.Comment

Re: NBA 2K17: Some Ideas To Make MyPlayer Better...
- Put draft combine back in the game and add in workout invitations from teams that are interested in drafting you. Then for the latter you can choose to do poorly or simply decline if you don't want to join them.
- Give VC during high school, college, (hopefully) summer league. It makes no sense you can't improve your player during all that.
- Put in euroleague and olympics if possible; and bring back d-league. Then, after HS, give us the choice between college, d-league and overseas.
- Possibility to get drafted anywhere from number 1 overall to undrafted.
- Storymode back to cutscenes where you have to make choices. Just have more of them. Ability to create a rivalry with another young (high rated) player.
- Ability to save faces and have different looking mycareer players.
- Allow us to choose two positions, attribute caps will be and stay based on your original primary position but you will be able switch them as you see fit. In order to negate some of the dumb gm/coach decisions.
- Talk to coach about playing time, role, preferred position (out the two you chose), less/more mins for teammate, and maybe some other things. Talk to gm about roster (select teammate you don't like or someone on another team/free agency/dleague/overseas that you want; propose trade when you're let's say 3-4 years on the team as the star) and coach. The higher you're overall rating, popularity, amount of awards and production the more they listen. If all those things are low you might get traded or cut.
- Drills that make sense for position/playstyle.
- Better rewards for endorsements (more vc, commercials, items) and connections (like someone mentioned, offseason drills to unlock and receive their animations).
- Ability to connect with any player in any of the leagues. Your team: improve chemistry and/or push one teammate to work hard and develop/improve; ask teammate to shoot more/less. Rest of nba: create a rivalry or befriend someone in order to get them to join your team when possible. D-league/overseas: again, increase the chance of them making their way to your team.
- Pick any existing bodytype.
- Attributes and badges, see posts below.
- Post whistle plays: shot/dunk/layup after buzzer/foul/etc. Increase popularity but risk getting a technical (except after the final whistle). The higher your overall/etc the less you risk a T.
- Also a taunt/trashtalk button now that i think about it. With "elite" (see attributes spoiler) emotion (resurrected attribute) you'll rarely get a technical and never in the 4th quarter or OT, so naturally the lower your emotion the more technicals you'll get. Tie it to the mind games badge which should rattle opponents on both def and off. 70 emotion unlocks bronze, 80 silver, 90 gold. The impact on the opponent will depend on his def/off consistency. Or of course if they have the mind games badge they will cancel each other out if they're the same color or at least drop it down a level if for example they have silver to your gold.

Re: NBA 2K17: Some Ideas To Make MyPlayer Better...
Attributes: No buckets
During creation pick a number of attributes where eventually you want to be "elite". Meaning up to 94, possibility to get to 99 during practice and offseason, 95 to 99 won't cost vc as they are a practice reward. However if you stop doing the drills to do connections/endorsements or simply other drills it will drop back to 94.
Random amount coming, let's say you get 5 selections for "elite" attributes. Then another 5 "very good" (up to 85), then 10 "good" (up to 76). Next 10 "decent" (up to 68). The rest up to 59. Certain attributes will be position based, meaning if you take an attribute that's uncommon for the position it will have an extra cost. So for example, if you have a center and select ball handling or 3pt shooting it will cost 2 selections for "decent", 3 for "good", 4 for "very good" and 5 for "elite" selections each in stead of just one like it would for a typical center attribute such as post hook or block.
So, to be clear since my explanation might be confusing, if you're a center and want to select standing 3pt shot as an elite skill you spend all your 5 "elite" selections on it, meaning that you can't pick another "elite" attribute. If you want to have it at "very good" you spend 4 meaning you can have 1 more "elite" attribute but it will have to be either a positionless attribute (such as stamina or hustle) or a center attribute as mentioned before.
Also, some physical attributes would be dependent on height/weight in stead of height/position. Weight would be tied to body type of course. So, for example, elite speed for a 7'3 center wouldn't be 94 but more like 75 if he weighs 220 and 65 if he weighs 330. I hope you get the idea. Obviously the speed mechanic would have to work properly.Comment

Re: NBA 2K17: Some Ideas To Make MyPlayer Better...
- Badges
First of all, for mycareer, badges shouldn't stay forever. It should reflect how you play. If you start playing differently, your badges change. On that note, i'd like the same for attributes, maybe make it so that you get the option in the offseason to change your weaknesses and strengths.
For example for stat based badges, use "season/career average" stats instead of "season/career totals". Random example: limitless range --> 1 per game = bronze, 2 = silver, 3 = gold. Or if they want to keep using totals, have a negative counter: let's use limitless range again as an example --> make + good shot selection = +1.5, regular make = +1, make + bad SS OR miss + good SS = +0.5, regular miss = 0, miss + bad SS = -1 (unless it's with 2 or less seconds left on the shot clock then it's just 0). Half/full court shots don't factor into limitless range.
Also, i agree with the idea of making badges more exclusive. Have the aforementioned negative counter and dynamic aspect. On top of that make badges unobtainable for difficulty levels below allstar as well as the "casual" slider set. Or make it so that badges obtained at those levels are unavailable online.
- "Box out (king)": If you box out on 75-80% (or so) of the opposing teams shots while you're on the court. Obviously you'll get a higher success rate in box out battles. Of course still keeping the related attributes in consideration, like boxout, strength, hustle, and whatever else is used.
- A badge like lockdown defender should be based on performance in my opinion instead of your attributes, keeping your opponent below his season average while keeping minutes played into consideration. Same with bruiser for example, not just be 200+ pounds but based on how you body up the opponent combined with the strength rating. 60-74 strength = max bronze, 75-89 = max silver, 90-99 = max gold.
- a "bruce bowen" badge: you can get away with a foul here and there. You'll need the "lockdown defender" badge as well as 90+ on ball defensive iq and defensive consistency.
- a badge for fronting in the post and one to keep your opponent from getting position in the paint. Dennis rodman was very good at that despite his "smaller" size, so it shouldn't completely be about strength, maybe a "low post defense positioning" attribute. And then of course a counterpart for both on offense.
- add a "verticality" badge for... well, verticality blocks and keep "eraser" for regular blocks.
- I agree with the mentioned putback as well as catch and shoot.
Also, we need some negative badges like:
- "turnover prone" and "foul prone", self explanatory.
- "chucker": it takes less misses to get cold. You get it by averaging x amount of "bad shot selection". Add an "assist wizard" badge that gives you a slightly higher succes rate on passes in traffic as an extra incentive. You won't be able to get the latter while having "chucker" or "ballhog". "Ballhog" would lead to an increase in help defense iq for the opposing team. You get it by dominating the ball over 65% (or so) of the total team possession timer.
- etc... can't really think of any other right nowComment

I got 2k10-2k15 (didn't get 16 because 15 MP story mode was stupid and didn't want to do the spike lee junk) and all I play is MP mode. I tell you what, if you do not get this game on PC and you a big MP like me (100% playing that mode) than it's a waste. The main reason is you can lock in sliders with different mod engines so you can have realistic games. Instead of dropping 80 points because your teammates jack up bricks all the time, with locked in sliders you can actually pass to them and they actually shoot a good %. Like with my sliders teams shoot like the real nba.
Also something new I did in 2k15 was instead of jacking my MP shooting stats to 95, I stop at 80 so I could raise the game sliders so my teammates will shoot realistically and I do not have to go superman and score every point down the floor. Ever since I did that the game has played awesome for me. Just lost a 7 game series against Houston, I'm the suns. It was fun the whole way through, very realistic. Harden and I were going back and forth the whole series.
I do want to get it on xbox 1 to play on my 80inch tv but there is no point because you can't adjust sliders in that mode (unless they changed in 2k16). I get why they don't because of my park or whatever, but some of us could careless about that. Maybe make it so we can play offline and be able to adjust sliders only offline.NFL 2k5 When Sept. Ends.

Re: NBA 2K17: Some Ideas To Make MyPlayer Better...
-Have free agency be more of a career path selection and have it affect your legacy
Create a big 3? Discussions with the GM will tell what 2 players you will be joining
Pros: Great team mates and great coaches
Cons: Multiple championships expected, people questioning who was mainly responsible for those titles and individual accolades (MVP's etc) harder to get, things like allstar appearances and deep playoff runs are meaningless, championship or bust!
Loyal hometown hero?
Pros: Lower exceptions so deep playoff runs, MVP's, All-star appearances help toward building your legacy, 1 NBA title in this role might be enough to solidify you as a all-time great
Cons: Chances of getting good team mates and coaches are low and if by some chance you get one or two they'll only stay for a year or 2
Money Grab?
AKA playing for a big market team on a max deal.
Pros: More VC per game, more endorsements, other player taking pay-cuts to play there because it's a big market (not because of you)
Cons: Less cap room for the team to build around you, perceived as selfish by majority of the league and choosing "$ > Rings" will have a very negative affect on your legacy if you can't win multiple.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hopping between the paths is possible but has negative affects on your legacy...
Won multiple title as part of a "BIG 3" but couldn't get it done when you "went home"? The critics will say you couldn't get it done without players X and Y and if players X and Y continue to win titles without you...Your whole career and importance during those championship years will be called into question.
Thought you were the hometown hero but then went for the money grab? You will be booed out of the building every time you return to that arena and the sports reporters from that area will bury you every chance they get.
Went for the money grab first but then "went home"? Again you will be booed out of the arena you previously played in and the media in that area will bury you.
At the end of all this there should be a top 50 all-time NBA players ranking with the MyPlayer ranked depending on the above paths he chose and what he accomplished.Comment

Add the ability to edit sliders and custom rosters for offline MyPlayer users. Make our MyPark player experience separate from our set MyPlayer to avoid the need for capping players attributes and balancing that mode.NBA 2K14 Wingspan Edits (Usable in 2K15)

Re: NBA 2K17: Some Ideas To Make MyPlayer Better...
1. Bring back the Combine drills and scrimmages at the Attack Athletics center.
2. Summer League of course (it shouldn't have came out in the first place)
3. BRING BACK THE D-LEAGUE!!!!
4. The option to play overseas in the Euroleague if not drafted or want to try those options
5. Dead the spike lee story line imo it's corny and took away the feeling of having a unique experience

Make the playbook like 2k14 or whatever year it was where the coach actually ran several different plays and would run plays for you (or a teammate) if you (or your teammate) got hot. Also, different coaches would run different plays. Tired of running the same sets over and over.Comment
