I decreased the speed slider in my season. I don't get a lot of mid range jumpers, but it's enough. Could be placebo though.

There's one that I really like in the classic Nuggets' playbook. I can't remember the name off the top of my head, but it's really nice. If I remember correctly, it's a Fist Zipper concept (which, by the way, if you see Zipper, those will usually get you a deep 2 or a 3 point attempt.) that starts with the guard making a cut to the hoop off of a back screen. If that cut's not there, then the Zipper action leads to a shot from mid-range.
Edit. Not a zipper play. My bad. It's 94 Floppy 1 Dive. Still a nice play though.Last edited by mb625; 07-21-2016, 04:01 PM.MLB: Minnesota Twins

Feels like it's mostly the bigmen who can shoot it from mid in 2K16.Comment

Right. Defense is so broken it's easy to dribble past user controlled men. Easy to get awide open mid range with Kyrie or similar guards... But I find if they create their own shot through dribble moves, even with space they are penalized for creating their own shot and shoot roughly 30% in the mid rangeComment

Midrange shot is a low percentage shot, the Sim Slider is set to 45, but I prefer it to be much lower 35-40 range. As many pointed out, the midrange is money in this game, and it shouldn't be, except for the top rated players (Jordan, Kobe, Dirk etc). Nobody really shoots the midrange anymore, its all 3s.Comment

This is by far the biggest problem with the mid range game for guards. Trying to pull up for a mid range jumper is impossible.Right. THANK YOU!
I keep say that and no one is understanding that. Their are some players that live in the mid range jumper area of the game. Take for instance Dirk or Melo. Even with them if you face up in the post and the defender lags off a little. You will miss that jumper most of the time. (Basically 30%)

When people say things like the above I really wonder if they watch all of basketball.Last edited by jeebs9; 07-21-2016, 04:56 PM.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Dont get this at all, the mid range game is money in this game....in pretty much every aspect but the pull up animation....and I emphasize animation because you can take a slight second to set your feet and you'll knock them down a lot more effectively....
The only issue with mid range were the slight seperation jumpers with efffective shooters that would brick too often...but Mike tweaked that...
Which is why i love putting in work with a mid range killer like KD- and these are well contested online

I really do hate the pull though. That CP3 /Westbrook/ style of pull up should be in 17. The turnaround midrange fades don't really fall for me either . I agree Bigs are the best at shooting the midrange . A lot of guards have higher three point shots too.
When it comes to my players unless you're an outside Center the midrange isn't worth taking over a three pointer .Last edited by Rockie_Fresh88; 07-21-2016, 03:11 PM.#1 Laker fan
