NBA 2K17 Screenshot - 1992 Dream Team with Charles Barkley
Some huge improvements for Scottie, Larry and Ewing.
Jordan looks strange - he has a pointy chin here and no goatee. C'mon 2k, when you gonna get the GOAT right??!
Stockton looks off and why is old Malone STILL in the line up here?
Barkley is on POINT!!
Gotta admit, for the few flaws, I'm quite excited for this!
Now......LET US EDIT THEM!!!
Jordan looks cartoony and like a goof. Eyes too big. Never really smiled showing his teeth and something wrong with his shape and ears are bad. Why is he so bad and pippen and Drexler look fantastic ? Who's in charge over there ? Lol lets hope the signature shots are rockingComment

Larry Bird's model is flat out terrible. Are the artists working at 2K blind?
Year after year they have made him look terrible, and his body is always far too clunky.
White guys in 2K are just awful in general. I really don't understand why they find it so difficult to create white players that don't look like aliens and have hair that doesn't look like big clumps on their heads.Comment

I see 2k ****ed over the legends once again....yet another reason why this feature should definitely be implemented into the game going forward https://youtu.be/49n1Ni-KYXAComment

At least it's not just me.
Was beginning to think I was heading back here the same time every year, seeing the legends unchanged - perhaps I was just looking for something to gripe about.
Seems to not be the case.
Here's an image I found from 2k15 vs a PC mod - the contrast is shocking.Attached Files-----------------------------------------

I find the hair is especially bad. And for non white guys hair its not amazing either. Curry's preview pics from last year I remember looking very "fuzzy" haha...... it was odd looking.
They need an art dept. OVERHAUL or a major sit down at the very least haha.Comment

See that PC mod is great! And take that away, the original MJ in the previous gen 2Ks were solid to begin with. Now stay with me but if they had;
Each of the legends with that level of facial quality and a good core signature animations I'd be happy. VERY happy. I'd run with Bulls all the time now that Czar has a very nice free lance triangle in the game.....
And it's not THAT big an ask I don't think. 2K11 dropped 6 years ago nearly. So you'd think they could've "built" from that.
But the legends have gone backwards. MJ doesn't even appear to have much "signature" about him now and he once did.
Here's hoping....Comment

Agreed for the improved Dream Team version - hopefully that translates into his other versions.
But in terms of his standard in game models, the mod looks to be superior in my eyes.-----------------------------------------

2K11 Jordan still looked the best IMO. How come they did so well with it back then (without face scanning of course) but can't now? Its odd to me.....
2K11 Jordan had different signature animations for different era Jordan aswell. That REALLY added to it.
I am hoping one day these legends slowly have more and more signature animations added - really increases my want to play with them.
All honesty, I haven't touched ANY legends since 2K12 as I feel they've just been some what..... "generic" since then.Comment

I just feel like this isn't a huge deal to 2k,like it is to us. It's cool to continue adding players to the pool.
I was so excited to play with that Vince Carter led Raptors team, and the to see what Vince looked like and Mcgrady. It was almost a joke.
It just doesn't feel like 2K builds their classic players from the ground up, it feels rushed every year.

Almost of a case of 'Well you shouldn't moan about it - you have the legends, what more do you want??'
Where I agree with that sentiment, I'd rather have them, than not at all - should we really be sitting back and not critiquing their look, which has lacked any real improvement in the last 3 years....?
I dunno. It's early days yet, perhaps there's been more improvements than we've seen so far. They could surprise us.-----------------------------------------
