Did he shoot a standing jumper in the clips? Is there a gif out there?Comment

Pulls ups in 2K16 weren't great either. They were almost drifty, momentum type shots that almost never went in.
The THREAT of a drive creating space is how he gets pull up shots. So tough to replicate in a game I'm sure. But boy would it make using him FUN!Comment

Re: Can Kyrie do Mo-cap for 2k?
His spot up jumper actually looks pretty close to what 2K has in the game for him. It isn't quite right, but it's close enough. The only thing is, Russell doesn't hold his release on probably 20-30% of the shots he takes (that percentage is a pure guess on my part). He instead flicks his wrist, and then shoots both hands down to his side. Occasionally, I'll get a contested jumper animation to trigger where he does this and it looks awesome, but hardly ever goes in obviously.Comment

So players who do it more often than not IRL don't actually do it in 2K anymore unless it's "random".
KD is another I think follows through a LOT IRL but his default shot has him drop both arms immediately now. I think they've had better KD strokes in the past personally.Comment

Not the greatest quality video, but here are a couple examples of Russ on a "non-follow through" jumper. In the first clip there's a defender running at him, but he'll sometimes do this on open shots as well (including spot up jumpers).
BTW, I don't mean to hijack a Kyrie Irving thread with Westbrook talk hahaLast edited by Pokes404; 08-19-2016, 09:30 PM.Comment

Obviously there are things in place where this would be complicated to bring in, but control over it would feel nice IMO.Comment

Re: Can Kyrie do Mo-cap for 2k?
As a Cleveland fan who runs MyLeague with the Cavs, I definitely feel the pain of Kyrie's shot. And K-Love's as well. Both are pretty hideous compared to their real life counterparts.
Question on all this: Is the jumpshot creator only available in My Career? Or can we use it for custom rosters as well? I haven't dug into the roster options at all yet; just playing quick games to get a good feel for the controls.Comment

Too bad I can't get the Cavs to trade him in MyLeague.Comment

I absolutely love them but I use the stick to shoot my layups and you can get some pretty stellar layups using it. Kyrie's package is really good at putting his body between the ball and the defender, and I can do a pretty good job of nailing shots with him.

Are they better in 2K17? I haven't used Jyrie yet.
