WOW! What year is this? 2K seems to be going backwards in the graphics department. How can they honestly think these screenshots are good advertising for the game?

Face and body are way off the mark. Mind blowing.

Listen if that's the case then fair enough. But at the end of the day the general consensus seems to be that the arms are a bit too skinny and the shoulders a bit too broad - based on the Gamescom footage (which has to be the most recent build) - with a few exceptions of course.

No big deal - we've talked about it and thrown it around for a while so as to create the illusion that it is a big deal, but to me its not and I'm sure neither for you.

I think people just saw something (myself included) and voiced an opinion.

Seems to be the general consensus on the Schroder pic also (back on topic). Which I agree with.

But overall and at the end of the day, thin beats thick. Hands down.

I'am not sure we're talking about the same thing. You're saying that the 2K17's trailer Durant isn't the same as the gamescom one right ?

I'm led to believe that's the case (based on Czar's tweet today). But he may have been referring to 2K16. At which point, see my previous post.

I also feel like he looks skinnier in the Gamescom footage which leads me to believe they made a change.

My eyes may be deceiving me though - so I could be wrong about that.

Yeah he appears to be skinnier but it's hard to tell, I don't really trust theses videos as far as proportions go. It's possible the builds are different from the trailers to the gamescom demo but I highly doubt they made Durant skinnier after the trailers reaction. I don't even recall people calling Durant too bulky or anything in the trailer's thread. I think Czar was saying that in a more general sense that people complain all the time that the players are too huge or too bulky and now we're here complaining that Durant is too skinny. But it's true, he is. Not a big deal to me and I take NBA 2K17 trailer's Durant any day over what we have last year. Now it'd be cool if they could add some muscle definition to thoses arms.

Re: NBA 2K17 Screenshot - Dennis Schröder

                  Durant wasnt bulky in 2k16

He was too wide in the mid section area and those traps made it look worse

I could post 2 screens of an edited one to show you how he looks with his arms a bit longer and his shoulders narrower.... looks good, but its the midsection that irked me because those guys are still skinny, not thick

I like the new KD though, i just think they have to get the jersey fit right to pull that off. Id like to see how he looks with his shoulder width reduced a bit.

The muscle definition is def. something that needs to be had.

Live had some nice models, but there were things off about that game too. It just looks better in stills..but they had the right idea

I wish 2k could do the shorts like this
                  Spoiler

Even with a dude who is kinda fat, you can give him just enough definition to still not look like he has baby fat for muscle which makes him look soft

But these screenshots of these players models has been terrible body wise.

Then you have Ronnie and Czar laughing like we have the issue and it blows my mind that they can look at these models and say "Nailed it". It's ridiculous. Yes, Czar the screens at first players were too big and yes now they are skinny.

they take this community criticism thing too far. The entire community calling the models, in general, too wide is valid. that does not mean that a single player, anecdotally, cant be too skinny. and not even him, his arms.

its really not that hard...yet 2K chooses to make it so.

Problem with KD's upper body in 2K16 was the fact that his shoulders were ridiculously wide. Somebody at 2K decided to give him a 75 in shoulder width.. that's higher than what Anthony Davis got (72) . Not here to bash the art department, but the 2K17 Durant change was unnecessary and exaggerated. All they had to do was drop the shoulder width.

Could still use more definition, but you get the point.

Damn, didn't know he was that big in 2k16. And now he is way too skinny. They had him perfect in 2k14.
