I'm very annoyed the face scan feature will not be on PC. It can't be much work to port as the code is already there for PS4 and XBOX. I'll consider canceling my pre-order for PC as it will be an inferior product for the same price.

Yeah it sucks that 2K always takes out a feature on the PC version. What's strange is that last year's NB2K16 did have the face scan feature on PC, but it came a little later via a patch. I'm not 100% sure but there was a video 2K uploaded on YouTube and it looks like 2K partnered up with Intel to bring Intel real sense technology for the PC version. I don't know if it will be in 2K17 on PC, but if it is it may be the reason why the app is not supported on PC.

Pardon my ignorance on this, I never scanned my face before, but it doesn't scan hair does it? Also, can you still add beards?

Curious to see if you'll be able to scan your face prior to release or if you need to be in game while doing it.

It'd be smart to let users spend the week prior to try and get a good face scan.

I wonder why they even bother to port it anymore for pc.

I really don't know. I guess it exists in a limbo state of being worth it enough to make a releasable game (probably thanks to MS making XB1 and PC so close architecturally) but not worth doing much else. The lack of the prelude and face scanning is pretty weird though, especially the latter - the amount of work to get the PC game to let you select photos you uploaded via a phone app is laughably trivial, especially given the app exists regardless.
