Well it benefits them money wise too. The people that haven't played get a free trial which might entice people who never tried it to buy the game if they like it

Sure it does - everything they do is to sell. The point is we as fans of the game - we already plan to buy it. It's like an extra gift for us. So we should just be grateful for that instead of demanding more. And let's be honest - 2k gets plenty of money each year. They hardly need to make this to advertise I'd say. I'd say we crave a game more than they crave money. If they did they could probably retire right now - they would be more than fine - we would be screwed without a basketball game lol.

I'm pretty sure The Prelude is there to build hype for the game and it turn make themselves more money.

lmao, what? thats the whole point of being a customer. Demanding something and buying it from the person who provides it best.

But you don't need to pay for the prelude so we aren't exactly customers.

Any way I understand the logic behind this. If you could play multiple times then everyone would end up as the number 1 draft pick, not exactly realistic. Players in the nba don't get to decide "I wasn't a lottery pick so I'm going back and doing my whole college career over."

I do hope there is some other option to continue playing. Even if it is just a shoot around.

Wrong - nice conversation tone btw - 2k doesn't need to release a demo to make money. So this is indeed them being kind enough to give us a demo. Of course they are about money - that doesn't take away the improvements the game makes. If you don't think it's good enough don't buy it. Eitherway releasing a demo was indeed kind and we should be thankful. I don't see where your logic or intent was with that comment. Point is let's just enjoy what they give us as an extra instead of complaining. It's free. They hardly ever release demos.

It's not them being nice but it's still cool to get the hands on the game a few days before release. They're still taking a risk with this, you don't want some random *** bug popping up and be all over youtube within a few hours.

Personally as I said before. They already have a huge fan base who buys every year. I don't see how this is more for money than being generous. Last time they released a public demo I believe was last gen. Which is crazy. But it's fine you have your opinion as do I. Not that big a deal really.
