Sacramento one is somewhat confusing. They havent played any games in the new arena. They could have done sleep train but surely a brand new facility is gonna sound the same.Nobody exists on purpose, nobody belongs anywhere, everybody is gonna die, come watch TV.- Morty -
Re: NBA 2K17 Arena Authenticity Trailer
Hugely disappointing and baffling if they've spent all this time going around arenas to simply improve ball and rim/net noises, which only make for a tiny bit of difference.
Wouldn't surprise me if the crowd is completely weird still. They do love a bit of hyperbole. Improved crowd noises could simply mean it's a bit louder and realistic, yet they'll still react the same way.
I'm still holding out hope, but I think they've done the classic 2K and deceived in their marketing. That Kyle Korver three sound has been in the game before.
NBA Live 10 had it down pat. The graphics weren't even that amazing, but I honestly felt like I was watching a broadcast at times because of how realistic the crowds and sounds were.Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Arena Authenticity Trailer
Looks improved, but not the leap that I was expecting. The trailer may not be doing it justice, but it does sound better ... going to reserve judgment for when the game actually hits.
Also, would like to know what -- if any -- crowd sounds they assigned to the expansion teams. I imagine it'd be generic stuff, but I hope expansion team crowds aren't as dead as last year's crowds were.Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Arena Authenticity Trailer
2K doesn't have the rights to TD Garden, so why can they get the correct colors for the Boston Celtics' court but not the Knicks?
You guys need to stop saying it's because of the copyright because it's not true.Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Arena Authenticity Trailer
Not gonna lie....this trailer did nothing for me. I guess I'll have to play the game to really see a difference. I go to about 10 Bulls games a year so I'll be able to tell pretty quickly how authentic things really are at the Madhouse

Re: NBA 2K17 Arena Authenticity Trailer
They should be able to use the correct blue and leave off the MSG logos. They don't own the rights to a shade of color... or DO they?Last edited by PPerfect_CJ; 09-06-2016, 03:07 PM.#LFC

But, in videos we've seen, they still have the net making the exact same sound on layups as the do 3 point shots.Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Arena Authenticity Trailer
Seriously, watch this
That game was made seven years ago, and was absolutely amazing for audio. The only thing 2K beats it in is having a PA announcer that tries to at least imitate the real life ones.
Every possession is filled with variety and realistic sounds, just like what you get watching a Celtics game. In 2K we're limited to one or two sounds, and a lot of the time they're generic. That trailer showed nothing at all to indicate that they worked heavily on this area.
Ball on floor and rim/net sounds are nice, but you're going to notice crowd noises, chants and organs a hell of a lot more.Comment
