Need some help - i read on reddit that people are downloading the nba2k17 files pre release when they pre order digitally on psn. Is this true? I would love to download it before release so it's not a burden when it releases. Thread is called "106mb download?" - one of the comments say "it doesn't pre download till a couple days before release".

You'll definitely be able to do it on both PSN and XBL, but I don't think anyone knows when exactly we can start. I believe it's usually a few days before release

Wow so one can download the game files days prior? that's some great news. I was thinking going amazon digital codes but i think they only give codes on release day. Downloading pre release would be perfect. Might definitely have to go with psn then.Comment

Pre-load usually doesnt happen until 3-4 before release date.
I pre-ordered 2k17 on psn and was on earlier and havent gotten any notifications of 2k downloading yet.Comment

Xbox users can download pre order up to 2 weeks before release. PSN on the other hand is a little inconsiderate: 2-3 days before.Comment

My sleeping schedule will get seriously messed up now knowing this. I was probably gonna leave it downloading while i slept. Downloading it earlier will be deadly. Hyped.Comment
