And I'm sorry but 2K has just left me totally bummed about this year's game. I don't buy many games each year and 2K is one I do. I've bought the last two 2K's having somewhat of a fun experience, but ultimately bummed by multiple things in each game.

I'm aware the full game isn't out so I can't judge fully yet. But a few weeks ago I was getting the impressions that:
- They'd finally fix body types to truly make each player individual. While they have made edits to some, clearly the majority are still far too similar and without any muscle tone.
- Audio was finally a huge focus for them. The fact that one random clip shows that generic crappy Spurs chant has left me extremely worried that their focus was on irrelevant sounds like the ball hitting the court, the final buzzers etc and not on a diverse and realistic audio experience.
- Then there's Online MyLeague which originally was made out to have a full off-season like offline does, yet it's obvious there's no free agency and it's more along the lines of a fantasy basketball league.
- Then there's MyCareer which to me as a guy who mainly plays offline, they've seemingly made worse with the stupid play types that are there simply because of the popularity and money grabbing of MyPark.

On a technical level, they're doing that -- yes. They will have the information prior to release.

Considering 2K is actively incentivizing their customers to pre-order the game with an early release weekend, yet hasn't released official gameplay footage, it feels like they're trying to get our pre-order FIRST before giving us any information to make an informed decision on.

If 2K didn't have an early-release weekend and there were no pre-order bonuses, I wouldn't be nearly as concerned or miffed, frankly. But since they're trying to get us to pre-order and trying to make us commit to the game before giving us crucial information (AKA, seeing how the game performs for a full quarter of gameplay), giving their customers a steady stream of information seems -- to me -- the best course.

Instead, they're sitting on information with nine days to go and it feels like they're trying to force me into a blind purchase. From my standpoint as a customer, I feel like I'm being manipulated into making a buy without reliable information and tangible evidence that the things that were promised to us were actually delivered on.

I dont know if I agree. What info do you need at this point to make a decision by next Thursday? You will likely have a full quarter of gameplay before release day. Either from 2k or someone else. ****, some of the leaks have minutes of gameplay in it.

Beluba did a gameplay blog. There is a My Career trailer. My League info has been out for months. They just released a sound trailer. I read 6-8 different articles about the game last week....and they are releasing a free mode on Friday where you can play some of the game.

The only people who dont have all of the info are people who are obsessed with My Park and thats coming next week.

This purchase isnt blind. There is plenty of info out here to make a decision.

It will be very disappointing if this authentic sounds thing ends up being another gimmick.

I think they should but they havent commited to it yet. Isnt the Show the only current gen game that has custom ingame sound? Am I wrong about that?

I'm a former admin of this site who has been a member for almost 15 years. So I'm a little familiar with the terms of service of this site and what constitutes constructive posting.

Also, I've made several comments about this game regarding the sound that make it clear that I dont think this game is perfect. I just dont agree with most of what you think about the game and I've noticed that many of your posts are borderline trolling.

Fair enough, but I'm not trolling at all. I'm merely bored with a lot of spare time and seeing all the latest stuff from 2K has simply left me upset.

Gameplay wise, this is the first decent video I've seen! I'm actually excited for the game now and for that I thank you sir. I'm not too big on audio outside of rim and dribbling sounds because that's what I hear in practice. Most times I'll end up playing with my own music on and it drowns it out. But I understand that you guys want the most immersive gameplay possible. Hopefully you get it next year if not this year

Boredom or being upset doesnt justify non-constructive or trolling posts. There are plenty of constructive negative posts on this forum. If you can do that, you will be here for a while. If not, well....

Reasons I'm only on the forum leading up to the release of the game every year.

If i do come back on during the year it's only for custom rosters, you guys are crazy lol. RELAX !

The trailer was shown by marketing... and i just want to know if some of those actual arena chants and sounds are there... its like


a follow up to a trailer they've shown. Kinda how Mike answered questions after people read his blog

I don't think he can say anything like Mike can because he was directly involved with gameplay while LD2K is involved with....well... hype.

And I'm not arguing your point regarding the default sound because I agree. My impression of the trailer was that they've made subtle advancements but they are still not there yet.

If that trailer was embellished, it's going to do more harm than good.
