People moaning about archetypes and things like Sharpshooters draining shots from half court or stepping just over, well learn your match-up. If they are a slasher you can sag off and prepare for them to drive, if they are a sharpshooter then you have to mark them tightly on the perimeter, if they are a shot creator then you make sure they are standing still when they take a shot and playmaker is similar except the usual left right cheesers.

I'm a sharpshooter(on my second character, main is a LDD) and on the defensive end I can shut down most archetypes because I check their stats and then see what their archetype is.. Use the tools available to your advantage and adapt.

I can match every other archetype, but sharpshooters make it almost impossible. They get a screen and pop from wherever they want. It's unrealistic and takes the fun away for me. It's not skill. It's abusing a poor decision by the devs. Sharpshooters piss me of for like no other. And they think they're good. That's the worst part.

I know how to beat them we switch on pick and rolls sagg off bad shooters etc...

But still bad players are awarded because of the OP badges some of this guys are just terrible but for sure they know how to cheese.

Guy who is doing stepback and behindback break your ankles almost every time if he have hof ankle breaker and mypark bone collector...

Don't quite understand why you've put the first line. I wasn't specifically quoting anyone but speaking as a whole, so the quote feature wasn't required at the time.. (Also I've been on these boards for 8 years, I know how forums work )

If they get a screen and then pop it then it's up to the match up of the screener to be prepared to close them out when the screen happens. The moving screens are what is ruining the game more so because without the help of others on your team it is near impossible to close them out after going through two screens, so I can understand that to a degree.

I'm fine with sharpshooters, it's playmakers I hate because of the constant dribbling with cheese moves and the ankle breaker badges. To top it off, they can drain open threes like a sharpshooter.

I hear you, the handicap issues and rewarding bad players is stupid. I lockdown a guy with my lockdown defender who shoots 0/3 and then he takes a fadeaway three with me in his face and it goes in (he isn't even a sharpshooter) and then he will get another with me in his face and before I know it he is 2/5 with 5 points. Then I get messages saying that my lockdown defender is useless etc because they scored two lucky *** shots.

I'm sharpshooter this year but still drive to the paint a lot to keep defense guessing and to be constantly dangerous.

Opponent sharpshooter just stand in one position trying to use cheese dribble or moving screen...

MYPARK needs a massive patch lol. seems like we took a lot of steps back compared to last year.

yea I'm retired from online until they fix it (not happy w/ pro am either.)

It's crazy because all they had to do last year is... make picks a little more forgiving, not let people pull up from half court, and tone down the same dribble animations that everyone uses... and it would have been really good. Even w/ 99s.

It definitely is a step back.

Making last year's hesitation 3 available for every sharpshooter, no matter the position and size, by not putting it into the elite tier dribbling and not considering a shot afterwards as a off dribble shot was a big mistake.

It's not really fun trying to defend it with subpar defense while trying to dodge all those op HOF brick walls at the same time.

The biggest problem with MyPark, is the parks it self, im wating more on lag, players, games to start than im actually playing the game, i can hear the frustration in my friends that are new to 2K and it legit sounds like they want to quit, just give us matchmaking already, please!

The biggest problem with MyPark, is the parks it self, im wating more on lag, players, games to start than im actually playing the game, i can hear the frustration in my friends that are new to 2K and it legit sounds like they want to quit, just give us matchmaking already, please!

If you log in while all the games are starting and all the dots are filled... you have to wait like 20minutes and pray that a squad doesn't take your spot.

Every time this happens, I ask why we can't just have an instant matchmaking option like Rocket League.

Imagine if in some popular FPS game like CoD or Battlefield that you had to first run around for 20 minutes to find a map to play in? Nobody would stand for that.

2k17 is doing a much better job this year of displaying accurate stats (I think?), which means they can still create a sense of community with Daily Leader stuff... I'm sure there are a million creative ways to make a community without making a long, weird loading system in the name of "community building."

The 7'3 sharpshooter jumps back like 8 feet on the hesitation 3, why do they have access to it.

Has the park been extra glitchy this weekend for anyone else?

I played a game where everyone got stuck with their arms and legs glued to their sides and we all hopped around (looked like a dolphin on water).

I've been getting stuck after a loss, can't move and have to quit out.

Lots of new stuff.

Reviewers really should play these modes before giving a 9/10
