This mode needs a lot of time...........it takes a long time to find a game and actually get it going. In 2 hours I played 4 games of 3 on 3.

What's crazy about 2K is some games you really feel like you're in a zone and it seems like it translates to 2K and it seems like you just can't miss. Few games I felt like that:

Because park is rather dead compared to previous years. It needs a revamp and definitely a change of scenery to keep things fresh. Not to mention people pick and choose games way too much in fear of playing higher reps. It's annoying as hell. The delay also kills the game mode this year. I have no clue what happened to 2k servers over the last 72 but the delay makes the game almost unplayable at times. May have to give 2k a rest until 18 drops.

Yup...I see that. Guys are waiting, I "ready up" they see my brown t-shirt tag.....everyone unreadiness and leaves....LOL.

They have to implement a WAY quicker way to play games. Kinda like Live 16's pro-am mode. You were in and playing within seconds.

              Maybe have both options ?

We barely play MyPark anymore due to the matchmaking. I wish that they would put more people into a park because you often have to wait after winning a game.

I also wish there was a similar matchmaking to Pro-Am available, where you can just click a button and be guaranteed to find a game.

                  Played this some more.....

I can see the appeal if you "get into it".

                  - You need roll in a squad, they get precedence, you can find games a lot faster.

I don't have a squad, I'm a lone gunner, its hard to find games.

                  - People still back out because of my rank BUT, when I actually do get into a game and they see I'm a willing passer/distributor (PG- Playmaker), I get the ball a lot. It's like "hey, this guys PASSING, give him the BALL !".

                  - After seeing lots of players know, it looks to me that by me making a 5'-9" playmaking PG, I've sealed my own doom....LOL. Nobody has a player build like that, that I've seen. Maybe one or two people tops....

                  - Lastly, I've yet to win a game on my park, I'm like 0-25. It's really hard to just "walk on" and run the table, especially as PG playmaker........

It is really hard to win games as a "walk on" random in park at this stage fo the game. You are often against squads, and most often against a team that already beat another team and against players that have gotten a whole lot of badges. It would be easier for you to win games if you were a 6'6 playmaker because you can much easier grab boards and can protect some at the rim, while also finishing at the rim on the other end.

When I'm by myself I don't even bother with Park anymore and just play Pro-Am. Much more balanced competition.

Oh boy......you've just opened a new can of worms..LOL.

Remember, I don't play these modes AT ALL. So I really know nothing about them. I just JUST started to understand my park this past few weeks..

So Pro-Am....is it the same thing, I just walk around in the gym and look for a game ? But it's a real game instead of pick up ?

Pro am is done by matchmaking, but it's a similar concept. Pick up game, four 5 minute quarters, fouls, etc.

Here's the just of it: You can have success with Randoms, and if you get an unselfish team or at least 2 other unselfish players that know how to play, you will beat most teams.

The problem is that it amplifies some of the problems park does, and it REALLY shows the underbelly of this games user base.

It is not uncommon to deal with selfish point guards, who will dribble spam, go 5-26, with minimal/incidental assists who will tell you you're horrible because they have 15 points to your 4 (Despite having a better grade/statline).

It is not uncommon to deal with people that do not know how to stop a pick and roll on defense. Do not understand switch. And do not grasp the concept of "Your man has hit 5 corner threes, Stop chasing the ball".

And it is VERY COMMON to deal with people who do not understand the "Real Game" mechanics, such as over dribbling penalties, Stamina loss, and the most important one: MOMENTUM.

Complaints aside, I look at random pro am as training. If You can run an offense with a bunch of no IQ guys and do work, when you have a squad that meshes well....you're basically on auto pilot fir wins

Don't forget that it's basically a crapshoot in terms of who you're going to get teamed up with. 2K's matchmaking is poor in this regard because it doesn't seem to take position into account when putting together match ups. This isn't an issue when you get into the practice gym and can look at who you're paired up with and put against but if you end up getting pulled into a game, there's no chance at looking at who is actually on your team and what they can do.

I've played the 4 as a 6'6 SG. I've played the 2 as a 7" glass cleaner. I've played as the C as a 6'10" SF while the other team had two big men and I've played the 3 as a 6'2" PG. While maybe your player is small or tall enough that you won't have to worry about it, keep in mind that others could be put out of position and if they quit, you're stuck with their usually lousy (Given mycareer effects how their AI plays) AI who is useless out of their position.

Like the person above said, use it as training and try not to take it too seriously. When it was double experience weekend and I was playing as many games as possible to rank up, I was looking at it as just that. A chance to be able to earn VC and get to the next level instead of worrying about wins and losses. Of course, I ended up getting the majority of my wins during that time and just did my best laugh off the idiocy of teammates during bad games and make sure I was at a high teammate grade.

                            Thanks for the summary guys.

I figured it out myself. It's the black vs gold game in the generic pro-am court.

Pretty fun, atlas I can find a game right away.

My game last night we were down by 16 at the start of the second, 3 teammates quit, still down by 16 at the half another teammate quits.

So me plus 4 AI players in the second half.

We go on a run in the third to tie it up, go back and fourth all 4th quarter. Go to OT, I pull the win out with a clutch mid range jumper from the elbow to put the game away for the win.

I finished the game with 26 assists, won player of the game......LOL.

I could just see the black team unraveling, it was quite entertaining.
