Has anyone identified how you get the +1 boosts during training? Now that they are permanent I would like to give a couple of boosts to my playmaking - ball control

It is random and it is only for certain attributes all of which are not in your tower attributes. So playmaking and ball control won'y be upgradeable that way.

I wonder what's causing the constant double teaming that some of you are experiencing. I haven't had this happen to me but it sounds like it could really ruin the mode if it truly never stops. Are you guys averaging a really high ppg or something? There has to be something you guys have in common that separates you from the others who don't have this problem.
Regardless though, I really hope this is something that gets fixed because I don't want to experience mindless incessant double teaming and nobody should have to.

I swear every 8 games or so, I have a game where the other team just plays perfectly on both sides of the court. I lost to the Jazz by 43(!) the Clippers by 37 and now the Wolves are up 29 at the half with 70/60/90 splits. My team is 19-12 so we're pretty decent and I'm only playing on all star so this just doesn't seem right. I've also beaten all these teams comfortably so it's not so much about the players it just seems to be random games where nothing goes in my teams favor and it's incredibly frustrating.

Dude, was literally about the ask the same question. I can't play because of it, i end up with 20+ assists a game now because they double me the ENTIRE game from tip-off

I got double teamed immediately also from tip off. But the next possession, I played off ball catch and shoot or off ball cuts to the basket. Never got double teamed again unless I do a pick and roll.

Maybe you are dominating the ball too much?

The double team on the game is unrealistic 100%!!! It does not work like this on NBA.

If you have a game with 15-20pts and 5+ assists or a good game in general they start to double team you since you pass the halfcourt line. Even if you do not try to attack the basket. This will never happen on NBA or on a real game.
Double team will never be used by a team when you have lots of room to either escape the double team or make the pass to the open player. They will try to double team you on situations that the trap will have serious chances to succeed and steal the ball or force a turnover.

They have to fix this double team bug. If double team was happening in real life then none of todays players would be able to get more that 20-25pts. Yet they score over 30 and sometimes over 40.
See Curry in real life for example. How many times have you seen him doubled although he holds the ball??? 1 or 2 out of 10 times!!!!

Does anyone know which teams/buildings have the which 3rd announcer? I know you always get the main two, Kevin and Greg Anthony. But there's always that 3rd one.

My 1st career is with the Twolves and they have Doris Burke as the 3rd in the booth, which is great. My 2nd career is with Toronto and they have Chris Webber as the 3rd. Webber's commentary is ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. It sounds like he's trying to narrate some book with a script he's never read before. All the enunciation is wrong, all the pauses are wrong, it's SO scripted and feels unnatural. I need to request to be traded to a team with a better 3rd announcer lol

2k17 would be the first time i have the commentary off completely. I thought Greg Anthony set the bar really low last year but Webber this year is just terrible and distracting too. Even though commentary from old 2k editions could get repetitive at least it still felt natural and i enjoyed the banter and bits of trivia here and there. Really miss the commentary from 2k14&2k15

Got the help defense cheese last night v the cavs. There was no need for it and a comeback was hindered by it. Went from 5 down to 15 in a matter of minutes, giving them easy buckets.

Fun snipped, got drafted 2nd by the Lakers and i hate the Lakers .... so requested a trade and even though i am top 5 scorer only Hawks were interested (78%) anyways requested trade (without Justice) and eventually was denied.

So still on the Lakers and now before every game i get the little clip were Ingram and i talk trash to each other about who is going to win the game and we're both on the Lakers ...

You should turn it back on.. patch fixed the issue with not switching commentators.. Brent and Doris are good, so is Smitty sometimes.

How big is the difference from superstar to hall of fame?
In 2k16 was superstar more realistic then hall of fame, is this still the same?

I found out some interesting tips that may help you get drafted first. It took me a while and honestly you have to play lights out every game if you're a PG/SG. Pretty sure I averaged 25 points, 5 reb, 5 asst and 5 steals. The steals was really the turning point. In the very first alumni game there are no refs so cheese the hell out of the steal button, guard them hard and it isn't impossible. The only thing that makes things a bit tricky is getting subbed out early and that is obviously beyond you're control.

Thanks for the tips. I didn't even realize there are no refs in the Midnight Madness game. I thought those stats don't factor into the averages though? Just thought that a good performance increases your starting draft stock but stats don't start counting until the first real game.

I was close before but 25 5 5 5 will be difficult. My biggest problem for that will be minutes. For whatever reason I only played about 6 minutes each game until the Olympics. I thought getting fouls due to reaching in may have been a reason for getting subbed out although 2 games I didn't have any fouls and got subbed out early anyway. All the games were blowouts though. And the CPU bleeds the shot clock every trip down the court. If I don't get a steal they run-off 30 seconds each possession.

Got level 3 Jordan endorsement.. Now what? Bruce said he was setting up a meeting to fix my custom colorway, did the Jordan event and then nothing happened.. Not even a follow up text from Bruce.. Was hoping getting level 3 for the custom colorways meant that you could get all of your edited colors for free like the endorsements were last year.. Had tons of Jordan colorways made last year that I could freely switch through just because I had the Jordan endorsement..
