Official NBA 2K17 MyCareer Thread

7'1" 300lb, post scoring Center, HOF difficulty as usual. I'm done with my 1st year where I was drafted 7th to Denver. We finished 2nd in the west, and ultimately became the 2017 NBA champs. I left in the offseason for the NYK, as usual. Haven't played a game on the Knicks yet. Here are some screenshots from my career so far.

Pick and rolls with your center or pf way easier than waiting 4 oj 2 activate

I just finished my 1st season as a Glass Cleaner center with the Lakers and won NBA championship at HOF difficulty after defeating Spurs, Warriors and Cavs. All were very close games and I would not have made it if I didn't have On Court Coach badge to adjust team defense and offense.

Few interesting moves off season:

- The Hawks let Paul Millsap go to clear cap space to sign the Curry brothers, Steph and Seth Curry. Will they be better than the legacy Splash Brothers?

- 76ers took advantage of that to... keep strengthening their front court by bringing in Paul Millsap with a 4 years contract. And it seems that is not enough, they also sign Ezeli as well...

- Somehow the 76ers were also able to sign Coach Popovich from the Spurs!

- JR Smith decided to comeback to the Knicks after the loss in the finals.

- Cavs signed Gary Neal to replace JR. A solid sharpshooter! Meanwhile, GSW made Livingston their starting PG and signed Lauvergne as their starting C.

- And finally my Lakers, with me as C and reigning MVP and DPOY, Randle as PF and Nance and Mozgov as backups, still decided to sign 2 more centers J.J. Hickson and Nene... Clarkson and Russell still have to be backup for Williams who I was hoping to be traded away.

Ok i just finished my second season with my sharpshooter sg with the lakers. We already defeated the thunder in the first round and we are about to face the warriors of durant, thompson, Green and the all mighty.....dennis shroeder lol. Curry left the warriors to sign a deal with the amazing Nets.
So after my good first season ( i won rookie of the year) i was looking forward to win the MVP or making at least any of the NBA teams. Well i ended up with great numbers: 28,5 points (1st in the league) 7 assist and almost 2 steals. But apparently that was not enough, i wasnt even in the discussion for the MVP. And i wasnt selected for any of the NBA teams lol. That was unexpected to say the least. I also lead the league in three point % with 59,6. Now im playing like a man on a mission. I am averaging 38 points in the playoffs. I want that ring and finals MVP.

I see they haven't eliminated bogus CPU/AI comebacks this year.. same as always though, by eliminating MY touches .. and when I did touch, I couldn't make a layup etc .. we were up by 16 at half on the Lakers (it was 20 after 1 quarter and I only played 4 minutes OF the quarter.) As in other seasons you can literally SEE it coming when your guy misses the signature 12 foot jumper over and over. The game even kept Dragan Bender on the bench this time ..I was averaging 4-5 assists to him each game so far..

Still only playing 19 minutes as this was only game 5 or 6.. but once I went to the bench the team gave up huge points.

I would very much appreciate some help on an issue I am having.

In NBA 2k15, I played my My Career with the Kings. Fine , whatever, but this year's game, I have played my college three times (with different teammate grades each time) and every time I have been drafted by the Kings. I do not want to play with the Kings again.

So if someone could help me not get drafted there, that would be fantastic. I am a 6-1 PG. In my three college careers, my teammate grades have been:
A A- A- A B
A+ A A- A- B+
A A A+ A+ A-

I would like to get drafted (preferrably) at either 7 (Nuggets) or 10 (Bucks) but basically anywhere except for the Kings or Magic would be great (three of my friends are on the Magic).

Again, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Height is 6'2 and my speed is 85 without boost.

My team just broke the Lakers' consecutive wins record with a win against the Pacers.

We ended up having our streak snapped by the warriors at 44 consecutive wins and we finished the regular season 73-9. My player won MVP and Rookie of the year. We play the pistons in the first round.

Just had an event with Spalding, after, it said I unlocked Damian Lillard and I got 4,000VC. The VC was sweet, but what did it mean by me unlocking Lillard?

Yesterday i got the scene where Denver was cut from the team and demoted to the D-League. Directly after that came a scene where me, my girlfriend, Justice, Bruce and Denver set togehter at a table and drank gatorade.

Problem #1: they were talking about the playoffs like they were the next thing coming up, but i am only ~30 games into the season.

Problem #2: Denver. He's sitting there with us - okay, no big deal, even though he is accordingly playing in the Developement League right now. But he talked about how he is happy about being back on the team! So he basically was like 3 seconds in Developement League and came back right after. That's a great record to have! Shortest period of time being in the D-League. Great job, Denver! Proud of you!
