Re: Official NBA 2K17 MyCareer Thread
6'6 Playmaking SG, new white hope. Best Case: Brandon Roy/ Manu Ginobili, Worst Case: Nik Stauskas
Old school playmaking guard, not really athletic but a smooth high iq basketball player, creative and talented on offense. Best with the ball in his hands, but is he good enough to be given that type of role. Projected to be picked in the lottery, could be higher but because of recent history with these types of players (Adam Morrison, Tyler Hansbrough) more teams will probably pass. High risk high reward. Will he be closer to new Larry Bird or Christian Leattner.
We will find out.Comment

Looking forward to reading of his exploits. Will he last longer than his rookie contract, or will he wash out and work for his dad at the local mom and pop store.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K17 MyCareer Thread
Noticed that like the 7'3 defensive and post scoring centers are in the 30 or 40 speeds...what's the athletic look like?I don't wanna be Jordan, I don't wanna be Bird or Isiah, I don't wanna be any of those guys.
I want to look in the mirror and say I did it my way.

6'10" PF with default weight is at 70 speed, 6'9" is a 73 speed. Decent trade off but you don't gain strength as your height goes down so I think i'll go for 6'10" with lowish weight and a slightly higher than default wingspanComment

After running through the prelude, what team do people want/hope to get drafted by based on there final draft stock (if you are not starting over again).
I got lottery pick with my 6'2" playmaker pg.
Hoping to go 6th to the Pelicans or 8 to the Kings to play with boogie or davis.
Hope to miss the Suns as they have bledsoe & knight. The Wolves have rubio, dunn, LaVine & jones.
Dont fancy playing for the Nuggets either, just because.

Hoping to land with the Bulls, figure I can back up Rondo as a rook, take his starting spot in my second year and by the 3rd his contract is up and hopefully he'll be gone
Kings would be nice as Collison will be a FA after the first season and hopefully gone
Most likely will end up somewhere with too much PG depth tho, wish the mode had something in place to facilitate the positions we chose, if the users player gets to a certain rating or earns a starting spot then their team should begin to build around them.Last edited by Wolf Ticket; 09-13-2016, 11:38 AM.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K17 MyCareer Thread
I want a point forward or playmaking PG to feed me the ball and take advantage of the pick and roll badges (the playmaking pg gets a boost to shooting too I think from a PnR). Also I feel like it would be nice to have 2 good 3 point shooters, though maybe one could be a shot creator. It will be interesting to see if glass cleaners are really mandatory in proam if their rebounding is really that good, but you could get a stretch 5 to take them out of the paint on offense.
We will also have an ok midrange shot, which might be worth taking depending on match ups, like if the other team decides to go with 2 glass cleaners/paint protectors.
Also I think i'll settle on 240 lbs as my weight, right in between my PF idol's weights (Shawn Kemp 230 lbs, Blake Griffin 250ish)Comment
