I'm still debating on going with my SG Sharpshooter or PG Playmaker. Ugh touch decision. I like the qualities of both.

I always went with a Shooting Guard specialized on shooting first in every MyCareer since NBA2k11. Just because that's what i like to do, i'm having the most fun with. I am not the best of dribblers, so no way i ever gonna make a slashing-type of player. Additionally, i never created a Point Guard. Either SG or a big man. Just create a player that you will have the most fun with. Don't care about the caps or anything.

Btw: I read through this thread and i saw that you started of a couple of times already. I think it's time to decide and finally get started for real, huh?

Fun fact: NBA2k11 was my first 2k game since NBA2k3 (/w Allen Iverson on the cover). And there i was also drafted by the Orlando Magic as a SG. Kind of came full circle haha.

I asked for a trade to NY and it went through this morning... they had a terrible record & my very first day, the reporter came to my optional practice to suggest I ask for a trade... now he comes to every one of them and blocks me from "doin' work" there goes my progress.

I know I read somewhere that this is a known bug, has anyone heard of a workaround until this is patched?

You're looking at around mid December.

Also there seems to be an issue that if you create a custom jumpshot and go to park, it resets your jumpshot to the first one and not your custom one.

I did not get the meeting myself yet, but i read that it comes afer around 15 games or so. More or less.

5th wolves was a 86 overall to start with, may have been 87 when i got the shoe deals.

Hmm... I was 9th overall, and was below 70 when I got the shoe deal but still started off at level 2 with Jordan.

I guess it's cool that the team that picks you gets to keep their real draft pick, but I feel sorry for the poor slob if they're the same position. I figure the teams pick you partially based on need but I was a Center and in real life the Raptors drafted a center. If you go to the Twolves as a PG, poor Kris Dunn riding the pine forever.

I played a game, where the press questioned team chemistry, then went to the mandatory practice - did everything required there but at the end of it, I went to the weight room and filled my bar there, then I quit practice inside the weight room and I did not go to that annoying cut-scene and the bar drained and updated my progress to the next upgrade.

After this, I am good to go so far, even with a losing record (76 team still loses 60% of the games, even with SLN (Shack-like Numbers) for my Center.

Hopefully something I did works for you too.

I wish there was a way that the developers at 2K could put in the sliders for My Career mode. I understand why they're not in there (so MyPark players can't set difficulty to HOF and then set the sliders to 0 for CPU and grind VC).

Maybe if they took out the VC multiplier from the difficulty setting and made it strictly on teammate grade + performance on the court?

Either way, MyCareer needs sliders like MyGM/MyLeague.

The easiest solution is to separate the online MyPlayer and the offline MyCareer.

How do I stop my teammates from double teaming? Lost a close game to the Blazers because Asik found it necessary to double team Lillard every possession, leaving his man under the hoop for an easy dunk every time.

Known issue. It needs tweaking from the devs. If you have video of the excessive double teaming, post it to the bug thread so they can use it to support the need for the tweak.

i got drafted by the lakers with my sharpshooter pg. (sucks because my wizards had zero picks this year)
