Re: NBA 2K17 Dynamic Commentary Trailer
Based on what i've been reading i'm pretty sure the commentator choice is based on the geographical location of the arena that the home team is playing at
EDIT: Well i'll be damned. Great mindsComment

Completely off topic but....can't help but dream what an NFL 2k would look like these days. I have actually enjoyed madden the past two years but there is one area I know 2K would be killing it and it would be signature styles for teams, coaches, and players. It'd be amazing for players to truly play like themselves in both animations and tendencies. Same goes for teams and coaches. Team specific plays and formations, true plays and tendencies for coaches. It would be a thing of beauty.Looks good, REAL GOOD....... I shed a TEAR though and think what NFL2K would be today......
In my opinion NFL2k was Visual Concepts BEST GAME, I always bought the basketball game, but FOOTBALL was something special........ I would pay $100 for a new NFL 2K........
Such a Shame that my favorite video game of all time is not being made anymore............Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Dynamic Commentary Trailer
I'm speechless. This is so far beyond anything that has ever been attempted before in sports gaming.
You can nitpick things here and there, but I don't think anyone can say with a straight face that 2K isn't busting their *** to push the genre forward.Ryan Spencer

Kevin Harlan is the best in the business. Love that guy.Comment

I mean at some point audio will end up getting stale, even if they do something like madden and update audio throughout the season, but last year it got to a point where pregame, halftime, and post game became skippable and not even worth listening to. And then for commentary I got so tired of hearing the same lines game after game that I opted to put audio on the "on court" setting (I think that's the name) and just listen to background music with Spotify (a very handy feature on the ps4).
Hopefully this year will be less repetitive. Something that would help is less generic lines. So instead of something like "HE is one of the best players in the league" which can be a line that gets recycled for multiple players I'd like more specific comments like "Paul George has established himself as one of the best players in the league." That alone makes it feel like the commentators are actually calling the game being played and not just using generic lines that can be interchangeable from game to game.Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Dynamic Commentary Trailer
Great trailer! They have definitely taken presentation to the next level.
(edit) It will suck if the post game show issue hasn't been addressed on the PS4.
And I can't wait to play with the Phoenix Knicks.Last edited by BezO; 09-08-2016, 01:00 PM.Shout out to The Watcher! Where you at bruh?Comment

What's wrong with the halftime show on the PS4?Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Dynamic Commentary Trailer
So I'm guessing we get the same play by play announcer for every game?Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Dynamic Commentary Trailer
Yeah Harlan will be there every game it looks like and the color commentator will change depending on the arena/region.

Re: NBA 2K17 Dynamic Commentary Trailer
You can't hate on this trailer. I'm only disappointed that they didn't show any Clark Kellogg commentary.EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.Comment
