Does anyoneknow how the introduction and celebration thing works in pro am? Only the team owner is able to buy it, does that mean unless he's playing we get the basic introduction and celebration?

Re: NBA 2K17 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
How are teams stopping the "hard-dive dump it into the paint for a foul or easy two"?
This seems to be something my team struggles with sometimes. We're not able to intercept the pass no matter how well we time it, the opposing big usually warps into the paint off the catch and tries to draw a foul or gets a dunk. If the hard-dive doesn't work, its a lot of big to big passing. If its close to a 3 second call, they'll call a timeout. Its ridiculous, but I feel like it can be stopped.
Our 2-3 zone hasn't worked against this. It seems like any time we play a good team, this is the strategy they use.
edit:
BTW, we are defending it well for the most part. Its easier against less skilled teams, but when we play teams with 90+ rated players with their badges maxed out, it becomes an issue. The few stops we needed to win the game basically comes from not being able to defend it on certain possessions.Last edited by bhzmfia14; 10-03-2016, 02:00 PM.PSN: bhzmafia14Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
Things I'd like for ProAm Patches this year:
- Let us choose our preferred position (Play Now basically the only mode that lets you choose your position).
- Fix the PA announcer. As a Point-man, I'd like to hear my name during the "Assisted by" instead of hearing the scorer's name twice (a bug) like it is now.
- Let us be on more than 1 team or let us have 15-20 people.
- Make the Team Stats sortable by each column. Love that we have working stats, dunno why we can't sort them
- Add a "Looking for Pro-Am Game" tag, so your teammates know who is willing to play right now.
- This one is a stretch, but if we can only be on on 10-man team... I'd love to see a way for Substitutions to exist.Last edited by SirGaryColeman; 10-03-2016, 02:09 PM.Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
lol, it will never be a popular build, you have to have a good bball IQ to use the lockdown defender. We're unicorns.
I lead our team in rebounding, I averaged around 5 rebounds per game for our first 20 games with my point forward, the last 20 I've been using my lockdown defender and my average is now 8.4rpg.Comment

As a dude who gets mostly Assists in Pro-Am, I wanna hear my name! This most definitely should be patched, seems like it'd be easy to correct.Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
Another thing I want to gripe about is this dumb patch! I CAN NO LONGER HIT AN OPEN 3. Before the patch my lock down defender was DEADLY from corner pocket. If you leave me open GREEN LIGHTS! Everyone in the park knew to fair me when I stepped on the court, but now? in Pro am, in the park, in my court, anywhere MISSED SHOT! I absolutely cannot hit a dead on open 3 nor get a green light any more.
Lockdown defenders and slashers should be setting screens, cutting/driving to the rim, or lurking in the mid range on offense.
Last year the ratings threshold for green releasing an open corner three was in the mid 70s, which was a pretty reasonable target number. That threshold seemed much lower at the start of this year due to more lax shooting sliders and new badges like catch and shoot plus passers' ability to get a more effective "purple" version of dimer.
The mid 70s should still be the minimum ratings requirement to green release an open corner three IMO now that they are an automatic bucket this year.Last edited by jyoung; 10-03-2016, 03:25 PM.Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
LDD really should only be able to hit a 3 if they are really really good at shooting timing.
I just ran a Park game with an LDD last night. I got him some wide open looks (Point Forward) and he hit the majority of them, so that seemed like a good balance.
He was a good player, so I'm cool with him being able to hit em in the Park still.Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
Was it just 3pt shots that were tuned down? Almost shot my team out the 2 games we played today, combine 4-15 from 3 over 2 games with most of the shots being wide open in the corner. I did go like 7/8 or 7/9 from midrange with those being more contested than the 3s.

Re: NBA 2K17 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
They need to be able to green with the proper boosts: HOF dimer + bronze catch & shoot + bronze corner specialist
why bother making a player that can't green no amount of other boosts can beat shooting 100% when wide open.Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
Is there any verdict in whether walk on Pro AM is properly giving rep now? Cause the times I have played it hasn't seemed to apply the next time I went into Park...Comment
