zones arent unbreakable but theyre good for change of pace when other team gets rolling

also try 3-2, and 1-3-1. these are other zones that can be effective in pro am

like zones irl, gonna take trust and basketball iq to run them correctly

When I'm playing with my usual squad we run 3-2 a lot depending on how the other team is playing but like U said its hard with randoms as most don't know much about actual basketball so it usually doesn't end well so we stick to man when we are with someone we haven't balled with before

Just in case I totally missed out, can the point guard not call defensive sets?

You used to be able to in 2k15 I think, but not last year, maybe there's a control I don't know about. But it gets annoying when we want to try a zone and we get screwed because we aren't where our arrows are telling us to go, and it also makes the start of some possessions confusing.

Only the playmaker can call a zone defence?

I can't find it anywhere, does anyone know how to switch someone's man? I'm the PG and I thought I knew, but I don't.
Also how does the ranking system work?

Tap L1 on defense, then the icons will pop up over the heads of your players.

Hit corresponding icon of player you'd like to switch, then R stick player you'd like him to guard.

Just practice with your team and coordinate who does what and when tbh i didn't even know j could set zone liek that we just play it without making any changes even with the arrows going around

anyone looking to join a pro-am team by chance (XB One)? A couple buddies and I are only 10-10 at the moment going 3v5, and we're looking for a couple solid guys to help us get to the next level. Ideally we need a stretch big or point forward

We're solid players (I was 25-10 with current Lakers, and 17-2 with 01 Lakers in PNO 2k16 - can message for proof ), have a friendly/respectful team culture, and play a sim style of ball. If you're interested shoot me message! GT: TheIslandMamba

I was wondering if the pro am opponent searching is now according to ranking.
Coz it takes 1-2 hours for me to successfully search an opponent.

Btw, I think my team's gonna join the #NBA2K17Lockout coz my team also experienced the disconnected game lost

How do you change team strategy in both offense and defense?
Also how do you change the matchups or the position that each player has been assigned ???

In your guys' experience, which is better to have on your pro am team down low: a glass cleaner or a paint protector? Why?

I would say as of right now, its all dependent on whether you value the rebounding or cutting off the cheese more. On one end, a glass cleaner should get you more opportunities or even out the rebounding but on the other with the screen cheese and the slow lateral quickness of a glass cleaner (that's what I am so I speak from experience), it might help with keeping up with that. Ideally, it'd be nice to have both in your 4 and 5, although you would sacrifice offense (but if you have someone who knows what they're doing at least as a GC, that's a 70 mid range and post game so it shouldn't be TOO bad).

Questions of my own for anyone who knows. Is that arena that you start with the only arena that you get or once you get higher in rank, do you eventually get to actual arenas? That would be a huge step down from last year if you just play in that arena instead of the big NBA style ones from last year.

Also, can you call plays? I remember that was in 2K15 I think it was when you played Rec and even though I doubt many use it, I feel like that would really help spacing by being able to call sets and use the indicators to guide people.
