Re: NBA 2K17 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
I had that happen the other night in a ps4 walk on game. Unfortunately they made me the PF and I had a hard time trying to rebound or play interior defense because the notification was blocking out player models and shielding the ball.Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
My pro-am team is looking for a tall center (7'0" or taller), glass cleaner archetype is preferred. We have two PG's, a SF, and a PF. PG - 6'4" playmaker, PG - 6'5" sharpshooter, SF - 6'5" sharpshooter, PF - 6'10" glass cleaner. Looking for a unselfish center who has a high basketball IQ, someone who doesn't try to take 20 shots game lol. We share the ball but the center probably won't score a lot. But is guaranteed to average double digits. We haven't started pro am in 2k17 yet and we won't start for another 2 weeks becuase final exams are coming up. We play on PS4, if your interested you can respond here or add me on PSN: Busa_busComment

Re: NBA 2K17 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
Once again, matchmaking is non existent on walk on. I get matched up with a 7'3 glass cleaner as a 6'9 sharpshooter. Didn't even mention a 6'4 playmaker got put as the center in another game while I was 6'7 at the one position.Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
I just played in the greatest pick up game of all time. I was absolutely stunned by how unselfish everyone was and how they all played their roles. 1 turnover on the game, scored 94 as a team (The other team was your normal dysfunction) and everybody played their roles perfectly it felt like a Pro-AM squad. Surprisingly, we all ended up in the position we made our guys in.
I wish more games were like this...Comment

Lol wow I dream one day I can get a game like this. I've come close a few times where we start off good playing nice solid basketball and each contributing a bit to the team and then it never fails that halfway through the game someone decides they had enough of that teamwork nonsense and decides to do his own thing and will either get a brick or turnover which then leads to everyone else breaking down and playing like your normal 2K randys

Yeah every once in a while you'll get teamed up with unselfish players and have a great game. But most of the time you're teamed up with idiots who decide they want to be on the And 1 mix tape tour.Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
I had something similar happen once, but it was a game full of Guards and Small Forwards. But it seems like the game just stacks players, first come first serve. eg. the first 5 in are on a team and the next 5 are a team. It doesn't seem like the matchmaking is actually balancing for positions.

This has been happening for me as well. I was trying my C out in walk on, and my team consisted of 5 C's smh.
My main player is a 6'9 SF slasher and I rarely match up as the SF in Pro-AM walk on, it's either PF or C and I get demolished by the other team's 7'3 glass cleaner.Comment

How is Pro Am post-patch? Has it curtailed some of the skilless sharpshooter zigzag screen crap?Last edited by NoLeafClover; 12-08-2016, 01:14 AM.Comment

They try to fix something and overcompensate it so much it's now worse than before. They should be "tweaking" things, not changing them to the extreme. If I was a conspiracy theorist I'd say they make a certain archetype dominant so everyone goes out and creates one, then they patch it and turns it into crap so people go create the next best thing. I love the 2k game but the developers are trash. Great promoters and marketers with awesome ideas but can't fix servers and patches are terrible. So disheartening.Follow me on https://twitter.com/ for NFL Draft and football news. @MackDraftComment

Re: NBA 2K17 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
Here are my 1st impressions after playing 2 Pro Am game after the patch 1.07. 2k once again what it does best. Change the entire complexity of game play. Our sharpshooters tonight couldn't hit squat. Were they doing dribble cheese? Nope. We were passing and finding the wide open man for 3. 1 guy was 0-8 1 game. The next game another sharpshooter was 0-7. WIDE OPEN SHOTS! Could this happen if the players were bad shooters? Yes. But they aren't. They've been playing for years and consistently shoot at a high percentage. Both guys finally said f 2k after 2 Pro Am games and said they are done for good. Doubt they really are but that's how frustrated they were with this patch. I'm a glass cleaner so it didn't affect me at all. IN fact my rebounding stats went up because of the crappy shooting of all the guards.

I noticed the bad shooting earlier today. Played a few walk-on games today and shooting percentages across the bored were down. The best shooting I remember seeing was 7 of 17 in the 4 games I played. Wish I got a screen shot. Even my AF was bad around the rim. A lot of good shots weren't dropping. I'm not someone who believes shots should always go in if you're open but today was almost 180 degrees of that.
